Striking Exterior Design

The new Hyundai i20 boasts a very sporty look from the front. It features a glossy black grille with a changed pattern. A silver skid plate sits at the bottom, adding to its dynamic appeal. The car’s front engine and suspension setup are clearly visible. With a ground clearance of 170 mm, it’s ready for various roads.

Moving to the side, the new i20 keeps its familiar dimensions without any changes. The Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs) come with turn indicators and are electrically adjustable and foldable. It rides on 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, which have a new and changed style.

The fully digital instrument cluster is sporty and provides essential information. It displays the fuel gauge, RPM meter, and a speedometer marked up to 220 km/h. The Multi-Information Display (MID) shows details like a compass, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), distance to empty, audio information, seatbelt reminders, and outside temperature.

The leather-wrapped, flat-bottom steering wheel features a stylish grey finish. It includes controls for cruise control, MID, telephony, and infotainment. The steering wheel offers both tilt and telescopic adjustment for a comfortable driving position. Other driver controls include traction control, idle start-stop, a view button, headlamp leveler, and an engine start-stop button. Automatic headlamps and wiper controls are also present.

Power and Performance

The Hyundai i20 is powered by a 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder Kappa petrol engine. This engine delivers 82 bhp of power and 114 Nm of torque. It offers an approximate mileage of 20 kmpl. The car is available with a five-speed manual gearbox, and an automatic transmission option is also offered.

Safety First

Safety is a top priority in the new i20. It comes standard with six airbags, including curtain airbags. Other important safety features include ABS with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), reverse parking camera, reverse parking sensors, a speed alert system, seatbelt warning, TPMS, traction control, and ESP (Electronic Stability Program).
