The Tata Tigor XE is the base model of this popular compact sedan. It comes in a total of four variants and offers five attractive color options: White, Grey, Silver, Blue, and Red. All available colors are single-tone. This sedan offers both manual and automatic transmission choices. If you choose an automatic transmission, it is available in two variants.

Tigor XE Exterior Design and Dimensions

The Tata Tigor XE features a body-colored roof and a striking front profile. You will find normal halogen headlights with black elements, giving it a sporty feel. There are no fog lamps in this base model, but they can be added later. A large Tata logo sits in the center, surrounded by a black piano finish grille and other black elements. The lower grille also has a black finish. The car offers a ground clearance of 170 mm.

From the side, the Tigor XE boasts a great profile. It comes with 14-inch wheels. For braking, it has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The turn indicators are placed on the side fenders. The outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) are black, manually adjustable, and do not fold automatically. The door handles are also black. The Tigor XE has a fuel tank capacity of 35 liters and a wheelbase of 2450 mm.

The rear profile is equally impressive with attractive tail lights. You will see the Tigor badge and a prominent Tata logo. The base model uses a normal key and does not include central locking, which can be installed later. Safety is enhanced with ultrasonic parking sensors and reflectors. A small black spoiler and a high mount stop lamp add to its look. The car also features a “Vocal for Local” sticker.

Engine, Performance, and Safety

The Tata Tigor XE is offered with a petrol engine only. It features a 1.2-liter Revotron petrol engine that produces 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. With the manual transmission, this compact sedan delivers an impressive mileage of around 19 kmpl.

The Tigor is known as one of the safest sedans in its segment, having received a 4-star GNCAP safety rating. It comes with a warranty of 2 years or 75,000 kilometers. Key safety features include ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), dual airbags, an anti-theft device, reverse parking sensors, and a speed alert system.

Interior Features and Comfort

Inside the Tata Tigor XE, you will find black door handles. The front and rear windows are manual. The doors include a bottle holder and space to install speakers. The headlights are adjustable. The seats are upholstered in fabric, and the headrests are fixed. The car features a manual fuel lid opener.

The dashboard includes a digital instrument cluster that provides various information. The steering wheel does not have any integrated controls. In the center console, there is no music system in the base model, but space is provided to add one. Manual AC controls are available. Below, you will find a 12V charging socket. The Tigor XE comes with a 5-speed manual transmission, and an AMT option is also available in other variants. There is also storage space and two cup holders. The cabin includes front airbags and good storage on the dashboard and in the glove box. An IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror) is also present.

The rear cabin offers comfortable space, making it suitable for a third person. There is good legroom and grab handles for rear passengers. The car also features a parcel tray behind the rear seats.

Boot Space

The Tata Tigor XE provides a generous boot space of 419 liters, making it highly practical for luggage. A spare tire and a tool kit are also included.

While the base model lacks features like an advanced music system and body-colored ORVMs, these are available in the higher variants.
