Fog lamps are also present, along with a black lower grille and a grey skid plate, giving it a tough look. A large engine guard is visible below.

The Seltos offers 190 mm of ground clearance. While good, a bit more, around 200 mm, would be ideal for this segment. The car has a dual wiper and washer system on the windshield. This HTK+ variant also features a panoramic sunroof and roof rails.

Stylish Side Profile and Wheels

The side view shows a sleek design. Popular colors are Black, White, and Grey, with other options like Blue, Red, Silver, and Olive Grey available. The car rides on 16-inch alloy wheels with a grey finish. All four wheels are equipped with disc brakes for strong stopping power. The tire size is 205/65 R16. Black cladding runs along the sides, and the ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) are body-colored with integrated indicators, electrically adjustable.

The door handles are also body-colored. The fuel filler cap is located at the rear, and the car has a 50-liter fuel tank capacity for petrol. Rear disc brakes are a standard feature on this car.

Modern Rear Profile

At the back, the Kia logo is centered, just above the reverse parking camera. It features connected LED backlights, which also house the indicators. The Seltos badge and IVT transmission badge are also seen on the rear.

The rear includes a wiper, defogger, and a high-mounted stop lamp. An integrated spoiler and a shark fin antenna complete the roofline. The bumper has reflectors and a muscular skid plate. Four reverse parking sensors are located in the rear bumper. The rear suspension setup and exhaust pipe are visible underneath.

Two Type-C USB charging ports are available, along with a small storage area for phones. The floor hump is minimal. Grab handles and a white LED cabin light are also included. This variant offers a panoramic sunroof, enhancing the cabin’s airy feel. The rear has two fixed headrests and three seatbelt points. While three adults can sit comfortably, the middle passenger might find it a bit tight.

The fabric driver’s seat offers height adjustment and recline. The fuel lid opener is on the floor. For the automatic transmission, there are brake and accelerator pedals. Buttons for traction control, idle start/stop, and headlamp adjustment are provided. The car starts with a push engine start/stop button.

Inside, the car features a fully digital instrument cluster with various information displays. The steering wheel is leather-wrapped and flat-bottomed, with the Kia logo and Seltos branding. It has grey finish accents. The steering is tilt-adjustable. This IVT variant includes paddle shifters. Controls on the steering wheel include MID (Multi-Information Display), cruise control on the right, and telephony, infotainment, and voice commands on the left. Automatic headlamp and wiper controls are on the stalks.

The instrument cluster displays speedometer, RPM meter, and an MID screen showing TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), current trip details, drive assist information, cluster light settings, door convenience unit, reset options, fuel gauge, temperature, outside temperature, audio details, and odometer reading.

The dashboard is entirely black. The HTK+ variant comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, USB, and AUX connectivity. A reverse parking camera with good quality is integrated. Controls for radio, media, track changes, and volume are also on the screen’s side.

Climate Control and Convenience

Below the screen, there’s a hazard light switch and grey-sliding AC vents. This variant features a fully automatic climate control system, with controls for fan speed and air flow. A 12V charging outlet, a Type-A USB port, and a Type-C USB port are present. A small storage space is available for phones.

The automatic transmission shifter is in the center console. The Seltos offers three drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. A switch to turn front parking sensors on or off is also provided. Higher variants offer additional features like wireless charging and ventilated seats. The center console includes two cupholders, a manual handbrake, and an armrest with a large storage compartment. The car is available with various transmission options, including Manual, iMT (Intelligent Manual Transmission), and IVT.

Advanced Safety Features

For safety, the Kia Seltos comes with a range of features. These include ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution). It has six airbags as standard, even from the base variant. Other safety tech includes reverse parking sensors, a reverse parking camera, traction control, and TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System). It also features ESP (Electronic Stability Control), seat belt warning, an engine immobilizer, and a crash sensor. All four disc brakes are a standard safety feature.

Warranty and Overall Value

The Kia Seltos comes with a 3-year, unlimited kilometer warranty, which can be extended for an additional cost. The Seltos provides tough competition in its segment and is noted to be slightly longer than some rivals. With features like six airbags, automatic climate control, a smart key, a digital cluster, and all four disc brakes, the HTK+ variant offers excellent value for money.
