The MG Astor 100-Year Limited Edition is a feature-packed compact SUV now available in a special new avatar. This article details the differences, upgrades, and price range of this exciting new edition.
Introducing the 100-Year Limited Edition
This special edition of the MG Astor brings a new look and feel. It comes with a new color called Evergreen, which adds a unique touch. The price for this edition starts from ₹14,81,000 for the manual transmission and ₹16,80,000 for the CVT automatic transmission (ex-showroom). This special Astor is offered in the Sharp Pro variant, with both manual and automatic (CVT) gearbox options.
Striking Front Design
The front of the MG Astor 100-Year Limited Edition features the new Evergreen color, giving it a distinct appearance. You will notice a prominent MG logo at the front. If a 360-degree camera is included, its placement will be here. The grille is entirely black, similar to the Black Storm edition.
The SUV is equipped with automatic projector LED headlamps and bright DRLs (Daytime Running Lights). The turn indicators are placed just above the DRLs. Below, you will find fog lamp housing with a glossy black finish. The lower grille is also all black. The front bumper includes a towing point. The front profile is completed with dual wipers and washers, and a large panoramic sunroof.
Dynamic Side Profile
From the side, the Astor 100-Year Limited Edition stands out with its 17-inch black alloy wheels. Red brake calipers add a sporty look. The tires are 215/55 R17 radial. Black body cladding runs along the entire side of the car, from front to back.
The outside mirrors are auto-foldable and have halogen bulb indicators. A 360-degree camera is also placed under the outside mirror. The A-pillar has a glossy black finish, complemented by black roof rails. The B-pillar has a matte black finish, and chrome garnish runs along the side windows. For convenient keyless entry, request sensors are provided on both front doors. The rear wheels also feature disc brakes, though with silver calipers compared to the red ones at the front.
Elegant Rear View
The rear profile showcases a large MG logo and prominent Astor badging. The roof has a gloss black finish, and you’ll find a rear wiper, defogger, and a high-mount stop lamp. A shark fin antenna is positioned on the roof.
The taillights are LED, and the indicators blink when the car is locked or unlocked. Reverse lights are also present. The car features ZS badging, side reflectors, and three reverse parking sensors. A reverse parking camera is located near the number plate, with a black finish on its plate. A chrome treatment near the exhaust gives the impression of a dual exhaust, adding to the sporty appeal, though there is only one actual exhaust.
Spacious Boot
Accessing the boot is unique. The Astor offers a generous 488 liters of boot space, enough for plenty of luggage. It includes a parcel tray, which can be removed to increase usable space. The rear seats can be folded in a 60:40 split ratio for even more cargo room. There are also useful storage compartments on the sides. Underneath, you will find a 16-inch steel spare wheel, which is one size smaller than the main alloy wheels, along with a toolkit including a jack and spanner.
Comfortable Interior – Second Row
Stepping inside, the cabin features a black dashboard with gray accents. Soft-touch materials are used throughout. The front features a large touchscreen display, an MG robot for voice commands, and a wireless charging pad. Both front seats are ventilated and made of leather.
For rear passengers, there are dedicated AC vents and two USB charging ports. The car offers excellent legroom and knee room, ensuring comfort for all passengers. Grab handles are available, and the roof features white LED lights. A small quarter glass and a rear parcel tray are also present. All three rear headrests are adjustable, and there’s an armrest with two cup holders. Three-point seatbelts are provided for safety, and the leather quality is premium.
Advanced Front Cabin
The front door trim is black with a silver insert. The door opener also has a silver finish. Lock and unlock buttons are on the door, along with controls for all four power windows. Soft-touch material with red stitching is present. Speaker and bottle holder spaces are integrated into the doors.
The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable in six ways, allowing for easy height, recline, and forward/backward adjustments. Airbag branding is visible on the seats. The “100 Year Limited Edition” branding on the headrests looks stylish. Below the dashboard, you’ll find levers for opening the bonnet and fuel lid, along with controls for ORVM adjustment and headlamp leveling switches.
Once inside, the dashboard presents a black theme with a unique green theme on the touchscreen, setting it apart from regular models. The leather-wrapped steering wheel features the MG logo, controls for infotainment and telephony, and a voice command button. The steering wheel is tilt-adjustable. Controls for wipers and automatic headlamps are also present.
The fully digital instrument cluster displays a speedometer, RPM meter, and a multi-information display (MID) with details like trip, average mileage, range, and audio information. The center console has a gray finish, with carbon-type accents around the AC vents. Soft-touch material and red stitching add to the premium feel.
The large touchscreen features a green-themed user interface and supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and i-Smart connectivity via Bluetooth. AC controls, including fan speed and temperature, are integrated into the touchscreen. A 360-degree camera offers an average quality view, with a 3D option. Physical buttons below the screen provide quick access to home, volume, fan speed, defogger, and temperature settings.
In the center, there’s an MG robot that responds to voice commands, allowing you to control features like opening or closing the panoramic sunroof. This large panoramic sunroof extends significantly, offering a great view for both front and rear passengers.
The car features a CVT automatic transmission with a stylish gear knob. There are two USB ports, a 12V charging outlet, and a wireless charging pad. An electronic parking brake and an auto-hold switch are included. Other switches control traction control, hill descent control, and the heated seats function for the front ventilated seats. Two cup holders are located in the center. The premium key features the MG logo and buttons for lock, unlock, and boot release. A soft-touch armrest with storage space is also present.
Safety is enhanced with six airbags, located in the pillars and front seats. Child locks are provided on the rear doors. The interior also includes an auto-dimming IRVM, white LED roof lights, and a microphone. Both sun visors come with vanity mirrors.
