Updated Tata Tigor 2024: Features and Price

Get ready to explore the new Tata Tigor 2024, now with fresh updates. We are looking at the second top variant, the XZ, which comes with several new additions and one minor change. This sedan car offers a blend of style and features for its segment.

Overview and Pricing

The updated Tata Tigor 2024 is available in four variants: XM, XZ, and XZ+. The base model starts at an ex-showroom price of around 6.3 lakh, while the top model can go up to approximately 10 lakh. This XZ variant comes with two keys: one smart key and one standard manual key.

Exterior Design Highlights

The Tigor XZ showcases a refreshed look with a notable new color option that was not available before.

Front View

The front grille features a prominent Tata logo in glossy black finish, with a distinctive tri-arrow design pattern. The headlamps are normal halogen-based units, while top models offer projector headlamps. Turn indicators are placed within the headlamps. Fog lamps are provided in the bumper, but daytime running lights (DRLs) are not available in this XZ variant. The lower grille is entirely black. The car offers a ground clearance of 170 mm and includes dual wipers and washers.

Side Profile

From the side, the new color stands out. This variant features 14-inch hyperstyle steel rims. Key updates for this XZ variant include a new touchscreen and a reverse parking camera. The car comes with a standard warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh kilometers, which can be extended. The A-pillar is body-colored, and the B-pillar is black. The fuel tank capacity for petrol is 35 liters, and CNG variants feature a twin-cylinder setup. The braking system includes disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.

Rear Design

The rear lights look appealing when lit, and this sedan car also comes in a new gold color option, along with grey, silver, red, blue, and white. The center features a Tata logo, and a reverse parking camera is now offered in this XZ variant. The Tigor badge is visible on one side. LED backlights are in white, with turn indicators placed within them. The car includes a defogger, a high-mount stop lamp, a slim spoiler, and a power antenna. The rear bumper has two ultrasonic parking sensors, reflectors, a reverse light, and a chrome garnish. The exhaust pipe is located on the right side.

Boot Space

The boot does not have a request sensor button; it can be unlocked by pressing the “follow me headlamp” button on the key. The Tata Tigor offers a large boot space of 419 liters, though it does not include a boot light. The spare tire is a normal steel rim, 13-inch, which is one size smaller than the main 14-inch wheels. CNG variants, with their twin-cylinder setup, still provide decent boot space.

Car Dimensions

The Tata Tigor falls under the 4-meter category.

  • Length: 3993 mm
  • Width: 1677 mm
  • Height: 1532 mm
  • Wheelbase: 2450 mm

Manual AC controls are present, and the AC vents are surrounded by a golden finish, adding a premium touch. Below the AC controls, there is a Type-A USB port and a 12V charging outlet, along with a storage space.

Steering and Driver’s View

The steering wheel features the Tata logo and includes telephonic and infotainment controls. It has a flat-bottom design and is tilt-adjustable. Manual controls for headlights and wipers are on either side. The instrument cluster is fully digital, displaying an RPM meter, fuel gauge, temperature bars, and a multi-information display (MID). The MID shows trip details, average mileage (around 18.7 km/l, with an expected 20 km/l), audio information, and range. Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is not available in this second top XZ model.

Seating and Space

All seats are made of fabric with a tri-arrow design pattern, similar to previous models. The driver’s seat offers both height adjustment and recline adjustment. Rear seats feature child seat mounts and fixed headrests, including a small third headrest. The rear door trims are dual-tone and include bottle holders. While there are no rear AC vents, legroom and headroom are comfortable for a sedan. A rear armrest with two glass holders is also provided. The car has a slight hump on the floor. Grab handles are available in the rear. The car boasts a 4-star safety rating.

Engine Specifications and Performance

The Tata Tigor XZ comes with a single engine option but is available in both petrol and CNG.
