Discover the New Tata Nexon: Style, Features, and Performance

The new Tata Nexon arrives with a fresh look and many updates. It combines muscular design with excellent build quality and a host of modern features. This compact SUV aims to offer a premium experience with its striking appearance and advanced technology.

Exterior Design and Lighting

The new Tata Nexon features a truly picturistic design. You will notice impressive sequential turn indicators and DRLs (Daytime Running Lights). Depending on the variant, you can find halogen-based headlights (in Pure and Pure S models) or projector LED headlamps with LED fog lamps (in Creative and Fearless models).

A new addition is the 360-degree camera, paired with front parking sensors. The lower grille design has also changed, moving away from the older pattern. At the back, the attractive connecting taillamps give the SUV a unique look. Other exterior details include roof rails with a silver finish and a shark fin antenna. The top model smartly hides the rear wiper under the spoiler.

Dimensions and Utility

The new Nexon sees minor changes in its size. The ground clearance is now 208 mm (previously 209 mm). The length is 3995 mm (up from 3993 mm), width is 1804 mm, and height is 1620 mm. The wheelbase remains 2498 mm.

A significant update is the increased boot space, now 382 liters, which is larger than the previous 350 liters. The fuel tank holds 44 liters. For convenience, the rear seats can split and fold in a 60:40 ratio. The boot also includes a 12V charging outlet and two hooks that can hold up to 3 kg each.

Wheels and Side Profile

The new Tata Nexon comes with stylish 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, featuring a completely new design. The front wheels have disc brakes, while the rear wheels have drum brakes. The tire size is 215/60 R16. The spare wheel is also a 16-inch unit. The door cladding now features a white and black combination, differing from the previous all-black design. The outside mirrors offer an auto-fold feature.

Interior Comfort and Technology

Step inside the new Nexon and experience a broad, premium dashboard. The two-spoke steering wheel features an illuminated Tata logo. A large 10.25-inch touchscreen takes center stage, complemented by a touch-panel automatic climate control system.

Both front seats are ventilated for enhanced comfort and offer height adjustment. The rear passengers benefit from AC vents and two USB ports (one Type A and one Type C). There’s also good legroom and kneeroom, similar to before due to the unchanged wheelbase. Adjustable headrests are provided for all seats, along with three-point seatbelts for all three rear passengers. A rear armrest includes two glass holders.

The steering wheel is flat-bottomed and features controls for cruise control, infotainment, and telephone calls. It is tilt-adjustable. The car also includes automatic headlights and wipers. The center console has a carbon-finish type detail, contributing to a three-tone dashboard appearance (black seats, light gray accents, and a hint of purple).

The infotainment system supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, USB connectivity, Amazon Alexa, and Voice Assist. An air purifier is also present. The 360-degree camera provides clear 3D and 2D views. Touch buttons allow easy control of functions like lock/unlock, boot release, hazard lights, and fog lamps. A wireless charging pad is also included. The glove box features a light, tablet holder, cooling function, and glass holders. An SOS i-Call feature is available for emergencies, and an electric sunroof adds to the premium feel.
