The Tata Punch CNG comes with several new features not previously available in the petrol variant. This updated model includes a sunroof and other significant enhancements. The price for this feature-packed car starts from ₹6.10 lakh, with top models reaching over ₹10 lakh (on-road in select cities).
Pricing and Variants
The Tata Punch is available in four main variants: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. You can also find additional packs like the Rhythm pack with the Adventure variant and the Dazzle pack with the Accomplished variant. The Dazzle CNG variant, for instance, is priced around ₹9,67,000 (on-road in select cities).

Front Profile
At the front, the car features a Tata logo set in a glossy black finish grille. The front grille has a unique patterned texture, behind which the horn is placed. A chrome strip extends from the Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) to the indicator placement. Below, you’ll find projector automatic headlights and projector fog lamps. The lower grille features a black, textured pattern. The car uses a front engine and suspension setup.
Side View
The Punch CNG has a length of 3827 mm, a width of 1742 mm, and a height of 1615 mm, with a wheelbase of 2445 mm. It runs on 16-inch alloy wheels, with disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. Wide body cladding runs along the sides. The outer rearview mirrors (ORVMs) are dual-toned (body color with black finish) and feature integrated indicators, with electrical adjustment. The A-pillar is finished in black. Unique to the CNG variant, roof rails, a sunroof, and a shark fin antenna are now included. The B-pillar is also black, and door handles match the body color.
Rear Design
The rear features a high-mounted stop lamp and the shark fin antenna. A CNG sticker is visible. The top model includes a rear wiper. The Tata logo is prominently placed, along with a reverse parking camera. “PUNCH” badging is large, and “iCNG” badging signifies its intelligent CNG technology. LED tail lights are offered in top models, while other variants use halogen bulbs. The lower bumper has a textured design, reflectors, and two ultrasonic reverse parking sensors. The entire bumper is black, with the exhaust pipe positioned below. The spare wheel is neatly placed underneath.
Color Options
Color choices include White, Grey, and Orange. The top Creative variant also offers Red and Blue options. Dual-tone roof options are available on top models.

The car comes with a full digital instrument cluster, a new feature, displaying CNG and petrol fuel levels, trip information, and range. A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and displays the reverse parking camera feed. The sound system is from Harman. Manual AC controls are standard. Charging options include a Type-C USB port (a new addition) and a 12V charging outlet. An engine start/stop button, fog lamp buttons, and a CNG to petrol converter switch are conveniently located. The glove box includes a tablet slot and a cooling feature. Cabin lighting is provided by a white LED. Sunroof controls are easily accessible, along with a microphone for calls. The driver’s sun visor has a ticket holder, and the passenger side includes a vanity mirror.
The steering wheel features the Tata logo and telephone controls on the left. Automatic headlight controls are on the right, with wiper controls on the left. Cruise control is not available in the CNG variant but is offered in petrol variants like the Accomplished.
Smart CNG Technology
The Tata Punch CNG stands out with its innovative twin cylinder technology. It features two 30kg CNG cylinders cleverly placed in the boot, which still leaves a good amount of boot space (around 200 liters or more). This car can be started directly on CNG, a significant advantage over some other CNG vehicles. Fueling options include a 37-liter petrol tank and a dedicated nozzle for CNG.
Engine Performance and Mileage
The Tata Punch CNG is powered by a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine.
- Petrol Mode: This engine produces 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque, offering a mileage of approximately 19 kmpl.
- CNG Mode: When running on CNG, it delivers 72 PS of power and 95 Nm of torque, with an impressive mileage of about 26 kmpl.
