The new generation Mahindra XUV 7XO has arrived, bringing significant changes and upgrades. This updated SUV looks completely different from its predecessor, offering a fresh design inside and out. Starting at an ex-showroom price of ₹13,66,000, with the top model reaching ₹24-25 lakhs, the XUV 7XO is set to impress.
Exterior Design Updates
The XUV 7XO showcases a fully upgraded exterior. The front features an entirely new grille with wider slats and the prominent Mahindra logo in the center. It includes a complete setup of projector LED headlamps, which are automatic, along with distinct DRLs and integrated indicators. LED fog lamps provide a bright white throw for excellent night visibility. The lower grille is blacked out, complemented by a grey skid plate, and the engine is fully protected with a cover.
From the side, the SUV looks fantastic. It rides on large 19-inch alloy wheels with 235/55 R19 tires, and both front and rear wheels are equipped with disc brakes. Black body cladding runs along the side. The auto-fold ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) include integrated indicators and camera placement for the 360-degree camera system. The A-pillar matches the body color, while the B-pillar has a sleek black finish. A large panoramic sunroof crowns the roof, which also features functional roof rails.
The rear profile has also been fully transformed. The LED backlights feature a new design and distinctive cuts. The large Mahindra logo is centrally placed, along with a reverse parking camera, rear wiper, defogger, and a high-mount stop lamp. A shark fin antenna sits atop the roof. The rear bumper is a dual-tone design with a glossy treatment, a body-colored section, a large skid plate, reflectors, and an option for a towing hook. The vehicle name has been officially changed from XUV 7OO to XUV 7XO. The rear suspension setup has been completely changed and tuned for a much smoother ride. A normal, thin spare tire is provided.
Advanced Safety & Driver Assistance
The XUV 7XO comes with ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems), featuring a front camera and a radar system. It includes automatic rain-sensing wipers and automatic headlamps for convenience. The 360-degree camera system offers comprehensive views, with cameras placed in the front grille, under the ORVMs, and at the rear. The ground clearance remains around 200 millimeters.
Spacious & Feature-Rich Interior
The interior of the XUV 7XO is entirely new and upgraded, offering a premium feel. The door trims feature a new color theme, soft-touch materials, updated power window controls, and curtain sun blinds. The cabin is spacious with comfortable leather seats, providing excellent legroom, kneeroom, and thigh support for rear passengers.
A significant new feature is the introduction of ventilated seats for both the second and third rows, offering three levels of cooling. The third-row seats are 50-50 foldable, increasing boot space from approximately 240 liters (with third row up) to over 400 liters (with third row folded). A “Bose Mode” allows front occupants to adjust the recline and slide of the rear seats.
The dashboard boasts a stunning triple-screen setup, merging a fully digital instrument cluster with a large 12.3-inch center infotainment screen. A separate co-driver screen allows access to entertainment platforms like Netflix and YouTube, ensuring no one gets bored on long rides. The new steering wheel design, similar to Mahindra’s electric SUVs, features controls for telephony, infotainment, and ADAS functions, with glowing buttons. The steering wheel is adjustable for both tilt and telescopic reach.
For convenience, there are Type-C fast-charging ports (65W) for both front and co-driver, along with wireless charging pads in both the front and rear.
