Hyundai Venue: Top Model Overview

The Hyundai Venue S Optional Diesel is the top model discussed. This variant includes Level 1 ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) features, bringing enhanced safety and convenience. The Venue is available with both diesel and petrol engine options, and you can choose between manual and automatic transmissions.

The price range for the Hyundai Venue starts from ₹7,94,000. The top model can go above ₹15,00,000. The available variants are E, S, S+, S Optional, SX, and SX Optional, with SX Optional being another top-tier option.

Exterior Design and Features

The Venue S Optional Diesel boasts a bold exterior. The front features a dark chrome grille. The roof is often wrapped for scratch protection, and it includes silver finish roof rails and a sunroof. Camera placements for ADAS features are visible. The smart key allows for locking, unlocking, boot unlocking, and remote engine start.

The car comes with a 3-year unlimited kilometer warranty. Its dimensions are 3995 mm in length, 1770 mm in width, and 1610 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2500 mm. The top model sports 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. It has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The tire profile is 215/60 R16 radial, with black cladding. The outside mirrors are body-colored, have integrated indicators, and auto-fold when the car is locked or unlocked. Puddle lamps are also present. All four door handles are finished in chrome. The Venue is shown in black, and other available colors include white, red, blue, and grey.

At the rear, the Venue features connected LED backlights that enhance its appearance. It includes a defogger, a high-mount stop lamp, an integrated spoiler, and a shark fin antenna. An “S” badging is present. The rear bumper houses two reverse parking sensors and a reverse parking camera. A grey-finished skid plate adds to its muscular look. A tow hook option and an exhaust pipe on the right side are also part of the rear design.

Spacious and Feature-Rich Interior

The interior of the Hyundai Venue has a dual-tone dashboard. Six airbags are standard across the range, providing strong safety. The cabin is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless charging pad, and automatic climate control. Buttons for ADAS features are also located inside.

The driver’s cockpit includes a fully digital instrument cluster that displays ADAS information like lane reading, fuel levels, temperature, digital speed, RPM, range, AdBlue levels, and TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System). The steering wheel is a flat-bottom, leather-wrapped unit with silver finishing. It has switches for ADAS, telephonic and infotainment controls, and a voice command button. The steering wheel is tilt-adjustable.

For comfort and convenience, the Venue offers electrically adjustable driver’s seat for forward/backward movement and recline, with manual height adjustment. Rear passengers get AC vents with silver finish and both Type-C and Type-A USB charging ports. The car features a regular-sized sunroof. Front roof lights are white, while the rear roof light is yellow. Storage options include a cooled glove box, small spaces, two glass holders, a handbrake, and an armrest with storage. Blue ambient lighting adds to the ambiance. Sun visors include a ticket holder on the driver’s side and a vanity mirror on the passenger side. The infotainment system supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, USB, Aux, Navigation, Maps, and Blue Link car-connecting features. It displays the reverse parking camera view, but a 360-degree camera is not available.

The boot space is a generous 350 liters. The rear seats are 60:40 foldable, and a parcel tray is provided. The spare tire is a 15-inch steel rim, one size smaller than the main tires, and includes a tool kit. The fuel tank capacity for the diesel variant is 45 liters, and it also requires AdBlue/Urea.

Powerful Engine Options and Performance

The Hyundai Venue offers two main engine choices:

  • 1.5-liter CRDi Diesel Engine: This engine produces 113 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. It delivers a mileage of approximately 22-23 kmpl.
  • 1.2-liter 4-cylinder Kappa Petrol Engine: This option provides 82 bhp of power and 114 Nm of torque, with an estimated mileage of 18-19 kmpl.

Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a DCT (Dual-Clutch Transmission). A CNG option is not available for this car.

Hyundai Venue Price and Safety

The top model, S Optional Diesel, has an ex-showroom price of ₹13,28,000, and an on-road price in Lucknow of approximately ₹15,50,000.

Safety is a priority in the Hyundai Venue. Key safety features include ABS with EBD, six airbags, reverse parking sensors, a reverse parking camera, traction control, TPMS, EP (Electronic Stability Program), seat belt warning, engine immobilizer, and crash sensors.
