The new Nissan Magnite facelift is here, and we’re taking a detailed look at its Aceta variant. This updated Magnite model brings several changes, although the Aceta trim offers a more practical set of features compared to the top models which boast significant upgrades. Let’s delve into what this refreshed car offers.
Nissan Magnite Facelift Pricing
For the Magnite facelift, there are no changes to the pricing. The base model still starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹599,999. The Aceta variant, which is currently in focus, is priced at ₹714,000 ex-showroom. On-road pricing for this specific variant could range from ₹805,000 to ₹810,000. This pricing positions the Nissan Magnite as a competitive option in its segment.
Exterior Design Updates
The front profile of the new Nissan Magnite features a fully changed grille with a new pattern. The Nissan logo is present, along with a chrome slide, which has been seen before. The headlights use regular halogen bulbs, with indicators placed on the side. The Aceta variant does not include DRLs; instead, it features chrome treatment in the shape of DRLs. Fog lamp housing is available, allowing for later installation of fog lamps. The skid plate has also been updated, now appearing more sporty. The car maintains a ground clearance of 205 millimeters.
Moving to the side, the new Magnite comes with 16-inch steel wheels, similar to previous models, complete with dual-tone wheel covers. It features disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The tire section is 195/60 R16. Black cladding runs along the side. The ORVMs are electrically adjustable and foldable, with integrated indicators. The Nissan Magnite badging is prominent. The A-pillar is body-colored, while the B-pillar is matte black. Door handles on this variant are now chrome. A plain roof is standard, though a dual-tone option is available. Silver-finished roof rails are also present.
At the rear, the Aceta variant features normal halogen bulb taillights, similar to the previous Magnite. The Nissan logo is in the center, with large Magnite badging below it. Indicators and reverse lights are integrated into the taillights. Higher up, you’ll find a rear wiper, defogger, high-mount stop lamp, integrated spoiler, and a shark fin antenna. The rear bumper includes four reverse parking sensors and a reverse parking camera. Number plate lights are yellow, and reflectors are integrated into the bumper. The exhaust pipe is visible on the left side.
Dimensions and Warranty
The Nissan Magnite measures 3994 millimeters in length, 1758 millimeters in width, and 1572 millimeters in height. The wheelbase remains 2500 millimeters. A notable improvement in the new Magnite is the extended warranty. It now offers a 3-year or 100,000-kilometer warranty, an increase from the previous 2-year or 50,000-kilometer offering.
Practical Boot Space
The Magnite offers a spacious 336-liter boot space, providing ample room for luggage. The rear seats can be folded in a 60:40 split configuration for added versatility. Hooks are available on both sides for securing items. The spare wheel, a stepney, is 14 inches, which is two sizes smaller than the main tires. A toolkit, jack, and spanner are conveniently located with the spare wheel.
Interior Comfort and Technology
Inside the Magnite Aceta variant, the door trims are entirely black, with grey finished door openers. Power window controls and speaker placement are on the doors. The seats are fully fabric, with the top models offering leather seats. The dashboard has an all-black view. Rear passengers will find bottle holders but no rear AC vents in this variant. Legroom and thigh support are comfortable for the price point. The rear armrest includes two glass holders and a space for a phone. A grab handle and hook are provided, but a parcel tray is not included in this variant. There are two adjustable headrests and three-point seatbelts. The roof light is yellow.
On the driver’s side, the door trim is black with grey-silver treatment and a fabric touch. The new Magnite branding panel on the door adds a distinct touch. The fabric seats offer both height adjustment and recline options. Manual transmission pedals are present, along with a fuel lid opener, traction control switch, and headlight leveler switch.
The dashboard features a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a reverse parking camera display. The digital instrument cluster is similar to the previous Magnite, showing RPM, a digital speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature bars, low battery warning, trip information, average mileage, range, and outside temperature. While it provides a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light, it does not show individual tire pressure. The steering wheel features the Nissan logo and controls for calls, mute, and infotainment. It offers tilt adjustment. Headlight and wiper controls are manual.
The center console is entirely black. Below the touchscreen, automatic climate control allows easy temperature adjustment, fan speed changes, and flow control with a clear display. Other features include a hazard light switch, lock/unlock button, defogger button, phone storage, and a 12V charging outlet. A USB port is not available in this specific variant. It comes with a 5-speed manual transmission, with an automatic option also available. Two glass holders are placed in the console. The IRVM is manually adjustable, and the roof light is yellow. There’s a ticket holder in the driver’s sun visor and a vanity mirror on the co-driver’s side. The glove box is spacious and includes a USB system.
