This sedan is known as one of the safest cars in its segment. We are looking at its base model in detail. This car offers a good combination of safety, performance, and practical features for everyday use.

A Safe and Reliable Sedan Option

This car’s base model starts from around ₹7.05 Lakhs and can go up to ₹8 Lakhs (on-road Lucknow). The top model is priced at approximately ₹10 Lakhs. There is a price difference of about ₹2 Lakhs between the base and top models, which brings many feature upgrades. This car comes only with a petrol engine option, available with both manual and e-CVT transmissions.

Safety Features: A Top Priority

Safety is a major highlight of this sedan. It has received a 4-star safety rating in Global NCAP crash tests. Key safety features include ABS with EBD, dual airbags, reverse parking sensors, a speed alert system, and seatbelt warnings.

Engine and Performance: Smooth Drives

Under the hood, this sedan features a 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder i-VTEC petrol engine. This engine produces 90 PS of power and 110 Nm of torque. It offers a mileage of approximately 18 kmpl. As mentioned, you can choose between a 5-speed manual transmission or an e-CVT (available in S and VX variants).

Exterior Design: Simple Yet Functional

The front of the car looks good, featuring a chrome-treated grille and a large logo in the center. The base model has normal halogen headlights; projector LEDs are available in higher variants. Fog lights are not included but can be installed later. The lower grille is black.

From the side, the base model differences are noticeable. The side mirrors are manual, adjustable, and foldable, finished in matt black. Turn indicators are located on the fenders. It runs on 14-inch steel wheels without wheel covers. The car has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The tire size is 175/65 R14. The door handles are also in matt black.

At the rear, you will find a power antenna at the top and a high-mount stop lamp. This variant does not have a defogger. The taillights are normal halogen (LED taillights are in higher variants). It features a large logo, an i-VTEC badge, and a model badge. There are four reverse parking sensors integrated into the rear bumper, which also has chrome accents.

The car offers a ground clearance of 170 mm, which is good for a sedan.

Interior Comfort and Features: Practical for Everyday

The base model comes with a manual physical key for both doors and features manual central locking. The door panels have a dual-tone design and include power window controls for all four doors, along with a bottle holder. Speakers need to be installed separately.

The dashboard has a dual-tone finish. There is no audio system in the base model, so it needs to be installed by the owner. The center console appears empty without an audio system. Rear AC vents are not available in any variant.

The seats are made of fabric with fixed headrests. Rear passengers benefit from good legroom. The instrument cluster is analog, featuring an RPM meter, a speedometer up to 180 kmph, and a multi-function display showing information like average mileage, trip details, and range. The steering wheel does not have mounted controls.

The car includes manual AC controls, a 12V charging socket, two cup holders, and a 5-speed manual gear lever. A single yellow roof light is provided.

Dimensions and Space: Room for All

This sedan offers a generous 420 liters of boot space, which is considered very good for its segment. The boot includes a light and side storage areas. A 14-inch spare steel wheel, toolkit, and jack panel are conveniently placed under the boot floor.

The car has a length of 3995 mm, a width of 1695 mm, and a height of 1501 mm. The wheelbase measures 2470 mm, providing good cabin space.

Color Options and Warranty

This car is available in five appealing color options: White, Red, Grey, Silver, and Brown. It comes with a 3-year, unlimited kilometer warranty.
