The Mahindra Thar Rox is here, bringing significant upgrades and exciting new features to its popular SUV lineup. This model comes with a host of enhancements, offering a more robust design, improved comfort, and advanced technology.

Bold Front Design and Lighting

The Mahindra Thar Rox features a bold and refreshed front profile. It now boasts new LED automatic headlamps, which are projector units offering both low and high beam illumination. Distinctive C-shaped Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) enhance its modern look. A new front grille and a solid bumper contribute to its muscular stance.

Enhanced Front Features and Ground Clearance

For added convenience and safety, the vehicle includes front parking sensors. Fog lamps are also integrated into the bumper design. The dual wiper and washer system ensures clear visibility. The Thar Rox maintains a generous ground clearance of 226 millimeters, ready for diverse terrains.

Dynamic Side Profile and Alloy Wheels

From the side, the Thar Rox showcases impressive 18-inch alloy wheels with a new pattern. These are equipped with 255/65 R18 radial tires. Front wheels feature disc brakes. The vehicle has wide fender cladding, giving it a rugged and muscular appearance. Electric Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs) carry the ‘Thar’ branding. An emblem depicting a camel climbing rocks is also visible.

Convenient 5-Door Access and Fueling

A major upgrade is the new 5-door configuration, making entry and exit easier for all passengers. Footsteps are provided for comfortable access due to the vehicle’s height. The fuel filler cap can now be opened from inside the car, a convenience previously managed with a key. The fuel tank capacity is 57 liters, accommodating diesel fuel. AdBlue/Urea can also be filled from the same location.

Modern Rear Styling and Safety

The rear of the Thar Rox features changed tail lights, which blink distinctively and include indicators and reverse lights. Rear safety is enhanced with two reverse parking sensors and a reverse camera neatly placed within the spare wheel’s cover. Reflectors are present on both sides. A high-mount stop lamp is visible on the rear door. While the front has disc brakes, the rear features drum brakes. The spare wheel is a steel rim, located on the rear door.

The vehicle offers a significantly larger boot space, providing ample room for luggage or other items. The rear seats feature a 60:40 split fold, allowing for even more cargo capacity when needed. The boot area includes a 12-volt charging outlet and hooks for securing items.

Inside, the Thar Rox offers a premium and comfortable experience. The doors feature a dual-tone trim with ‘Thar’ branding and chrome door openers. All four windows have power controls. The dashboard is also dual-tone, creating a pleasant ambiance. The seating is finished in high-quality white leather, and the roof is black. Two adjustable headrests are provided for rear passengers, along with one fixed headrest. A rear armrest with cupholders adds to the comfort. Grab handles are available for passengers. For safety, the Thar Rox comes with six airbags, with branding visible on the seats. Child seat mounts are also included.

Advanced Infotainment and Connectivity

The cabin is equipped with a large, premium touchscreen infotainment system. While the base variant may have an unlocked cluster, higher variants offer a fully digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system supports various functions, including call management, music, and settings. Short-cut buttons are available below the screen for easy access. The car starts with a push-button ignition located on the side. The driver’s seat offers manual height and recline adjustments.

The center console includes gloss black AC vents with manual AC controls. A hazard light switch and drive mode selector are present. Information regarding the co-driver’s airbag (on/off) is displayed. Modern conveniences include a wireless charging pad and both Type-A and Type-C USB ports. Storage options include a small space near the gear shifter, two cupholders, and a manual handbrake (higher variants may offer an electronic parking brake with auto-hold). • Diesel Engine: A 2.2-liter 4-cylinder mHawk engine delivering 175 BHP of power and 400 Nm of torque. It is expected to offer a mileage of 15-16 kilometers per liter.
• Petrol Engine: A 2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 160 BHP of power and 330 Nm of torque. This option is estimated to provide a mileage of 12-13 kilometers per liter.

Both engines come with a manual transmission, and automatic transmission options are also available.
