Introduction to the Grand Vitara

Maruti Suzuki offers the Grand Vitara SUV. This SUV features a muscular design and is fully loaded with features. It is Maruti’s first vehicle to offer a panoramic sunroof and also includes a 360-degree camera. A Head-Up Display (HUD) is also available in this car.

The Grand Vitara starts from an ex-showroom price of ₹10,45,000 for its base model. The Alpha All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variant is priced at ₹16,89,000 ex-showroom. For on-road pricing in Lucknow, the Alpha All-Wheel Drive variant costs around ₹19,50,000. If you choose the normal variant without All-Wheel Drive, it costs around ₹15,49,000 ex-showroom and ₹17,80,000 on-road in Lucknow.

The Grand Vitara is available in various trims: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha. There is also an Alpha+ variant which comes with an Intelligent Hybrid engine.

Exterior Design and Features

Front Profile

The front of the Grand Vitara features a large Suzuki logo set within black grilles. These grilles are surrounded by attractive chrome inserts. A front camera is also present as part of the 360-degree camera system. The car has three-point LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) that look stylish. It also comes with an LED projector headlamp setup which operates automatically. Fog lamps are an option in the bumper. The engine area looks broad. Below, there is a lower grille and a silver-colored skid plate. An engine guard is also provided.

Side Profile

From the side, the Grand Vitara looks broad and appealing. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. The outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) are body-colored, electrically adjustable, and foldable, with integrated turn indicators. A camera is also located on the ORVMs for the Alpha variant. Chrome roof railings are provided on top. Side sensors are present on both sides. The vehicle features matte black cladding. The rear wheels also have disc brakes. Dashboard and Infotainment

Inside, the dashboard offers a luxurious feel. The infotainment system, which is also seen in the Brezza, is present here. This is a 9-inch unit with a glossy black finish around it. It supports USB, AUX, Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. The 360-degree camera view can be displayed on this screen. When turned off, it shows a clock.

Driver’s Controls and Instrument Cluster

The driver’s door panel includes controls for all four power windows, central lock/unlock buttons, and ORVM adjustments and folding. The door opener has a chrome finish, and silver accents are used. Manual transmission pedals are present, along with a lever to open the bonnet.

On the dashboard, there are buttons for Hill Hold Assist, Traction Control, and 360-degree view. There is also a headlight leveling option and an engine start/stop button.

The steering wheel features a Suzuki logo, audio controls, cruise control, and telephone/Bluetooth controls. It also has a leather finish.

The instrument cluster is analog but includes a digital screen that provides information like All-Wheel Drive status, temperature, and mileage. You can view mileage and other details using controls on the right side of the steering wheel.

The car comes with a fully automatic climate control system. A Traction Control button is also available. There is a 12V charging point and storage space. An armrest with storage is provided. The Intelligent Hybrid engine delivers 91 BHP of power and 122 Nm of torque.

A significant plus point for the Grand Vitara is its mileage. The Intelligent Hybrid variant can offer up to 27 KMPL, making it a strong competitor in the market against models like the Creta, Seltos, and Harrier.

The Grand Vitara has a good ground clearance of approximately 200 to 210 millimeters. This, combined with the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) option available with the manual transmission, makes it capable for various terrains.

The dimensions of the car are: Length 4345 mm, Width 1795 mm, and Height 1645 mm. The wheelbase is around 2600 mm, ensuring a comfortable ride.

Safety Features

The top variants, including the Alpha, come with six airbags. Standard features include two airbags.
