Exterior Design and Updates
The Mahindra Bolero Neo facelift brings several changes to its outside look, making it more modern and muscular.
Front Look
The front grill is completely new and different from the older Bolero. It now has the Mahindra logo with chrome inserts. The headlamps are still halogen-based, but new DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) are placed above them, with indicators on the side. Halogen-based fog lamps are also included. The lower grill has a new design, and a new skid plate with a grip finish adds to its rugged appeal. A tow hook option is available on the side. The overall front profile looks muscular, and an engine guard is visible below. The ground clearance is 180mm, suitable for various terrains. It also features a dual wiper and washer system.
Side Profile and Dimensions
From the side, the new Bolero Neo stands out with a dual-tone black roof on its top model, a feature not seen before. The new “Jeans Blue” color is also available on the top model. The new Bolero Neo gets glossy black finish alloy wheels. These are 16-inch wheels with 215/70 R16 Apollo tires, which is a size upgrade from the previous 15-inch wheels in lower variants. It has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. Fender indicators are present, along with side body cladding. The door handles are in a matt black finish. The ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) are body-colored with a dual-tone design; they can be folded manually and adjusted electrically from inside. The A-pillar matches the body color, while the B-pillar is black.
The dimensions of the new Bolero Neo remain the same as before. It has a length of 3995 mm, a width of 1795 mm, a height of 1817 mm, and a wheelbase of 2680 mm.
Rear View Features
At the back, the new Bolero Neo features a spare wheel that is normal steel, while the other four wheels are 16-inch alloy wheels. The spare wheel has a cover with the Mahindra logo. “Bolero Neo” badging is visible. The tail lights are normal halogen bulbs, similar to the previous Neo. A new N1 badge shows it’s the top model. It includes a rear wiper, defogger, and a high-mount stop lamp. A thin spoiler is present, and the roof is black. The door handle for the boot is in a matt black finish. The bumper is dual-tone and has two reverse parking sensors. A new addition is a reverse parking camera, which was not available before. Reflectors are on both sides, and a towing hook option is available. Footsteps are provided for easy entry into the vehicle. The rear suspension setup is also visible.
Comfort and Interior Features
The interior of the new Mahindra Bolero Neo has been updated with several new features to enhance comfort and convenience.
Dashboard and Infotainment
The new dashboard has a fresh, dual-tone look. A large touchscreen infotainment system is now present, complete with a reverse parking camera display. The AC vents have a glossy black finish. The infotainment system supports Bluetooth, USB, and Aux connectivity, and has a “Carbit” application for music. The manual AC uses knobs similar to the older Bolero. There is a 12V charging outlet, and new Type-C and Type-A USB ports are also added. A small storage space is available on top of the dashboard.
Seating and Space
The new Bolero Neo features leatherette seats, which are a significant upgrade from the previous fabric seats. The driver’s seat comes with height adjustment and recline options. The second-row seats offer good legroom, headroom, and thigh support. There are two headrests in the second row. Pockets are provided behind the seats for magazines or other items. An armrest is available in the second row. The rear has side-facing seats, which can be folded to create a large boot space. When these seats are folded, the Bolero Neo offers about 384 liters of boot space for five passengers. The car allows ventilation by slightly opening the rear glass. However, rear AC vents are still missing.
Driver Controls and Console
The Bolero Neo comes with a flip remote central locking key and a dummy key. The ORVMs are electrically adjustable, with manual folding. The door trims include power window controls, door openers, speakers, and bottle holders. Inside, the driver has controls for fuel lid opening, ESS, defogger, eco mode, headlamp adjustment, and ORVM adjustment.
The steering wheel features the Mahindra logo in the center, with cruise control buttons on one side and controls for the touchscreen (call, volume, mute) on the other. It is tilt-adjustable. Manual controls for headlamps are on the right, and for wipers on the left. The instrument cluster is analog with sky-blue lighting and various check lights. It includes an analog tachometer, speedometer (up to 180 km/h), and an MID (Multi-Information Display) screen. The MID shows trip details, average mileage, range, audio information, and TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) data.
Power window controls for all four windows are located in the middle console, not on the doors. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard. The armrest is now leatherette. The glove box provides storage for documents. There are two airbags in total. The IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror) is manually adjustable. The roof light uses yellow bulbs. The passenger-side sun visor has a vanity mirror, and the driver’s side has a ticket holder. Child locks are also present.
Engine, Performance, and Mileage
The new Mahindra Bolero Neo retains its reliable engine specifications, focusing on robustness and fuel efficiency.
The Bolero Neo is powered by a 1.5-liter diesel engine. This is a 3-cylinder engine. It produces 100 bhp of power and 260 Nm of torque. The engine placement under the hood includes proper insulation and a battery compartment.
In terms of mileage, the Bolero Neo typically delivers between 15 to 17 kmpl. Some drivers might even achieve up to 18 kmpl, depending on their driving style. This diesel engine provides a strong and rugged feel for the SUV.
Price, Variants, and Warranty
The new Mahindra Bolero Neo offers attractive pricing and warranty for its segment.
The car comes with a standard warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh kilometers, which can be extended with additional charges. When considering other 7-seater options, the Maruti Ertiga is often compared. However, the Bolero Neo, being an SUV with a diesel engine, offers a different experience compared to the Ertiga MPV.

- N8: ₹9,29,000
- N10: ₹9,79,000
