Front Design

The front of the i20 features a satin finish grille. It has automatic LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) and indicators. The automatic headlamp setup is also LED. Rear Design

The rear of the i20 shows blinking indicators when the car is locked or unlocked. It has a reverse light and i20 badging. The Asta variant also has its specific badge. Practical Boot Space

The rear seats fold 100% flat, but they do not offer a 60/40 split option.

The fuel tank cap opens when the car is unlocked by pressing it. The i20 has a 37-liter petrol fuel tank capacity.

The dimensions of the i20 are: 3995 mm in length, 1775 mm in width, and 1505 mm in height. The wheelbase measures 2580 mm.

Rear Passenger Experience

The rear doors of the i20 have a dual-tone design, including a door opener and power window controls. Bose speakers are also present in the rear. The seats are made of fabric. From the back seats, you get a good view of the large touchscreen, automatic climate control, wireless charging pad, and blue ambient lighting. Driver’s Controls and Infotainment

The driver’s side features a child lock and a request sensor. The smart key includes buttons for lock, unlock, and boot unlock. Blue ambient lighting and soft-touch materials are present on the door. Once inside and the ignition is on, a fully digital instrument cluster appears with various indicator lights. The sunroof can be opened. The steering wheel is a D-cut design, wrapped in leather with a grey finish. It has controls for cruise control, the multi-information display (MID), telephony, and infotainment. Automatic headlamp controls and wiper controls are on the stalks.

The digital cluster displays speed (up to 220 km/h), RPM, and an MID screen showing TPMS and range information. You can access other information like door status, service intervals, and settings. The dashboard features an 8-inch touchscreen in the Asta variant, while the Asta Optional variant gets a 10.25-inch screen. Connectivity options include Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, USB, and AUX. A clear reverse parking camera display is available when needed. Buttons for changing tracks, radio, media, and volume are also present. There is a hazard light switch and black finish AC vents.

Below, you will find automatic climate control to adjust fan speed and temperature. The center console includes a 12V charging outlet, Type A and Type C USB ports, and a wireless charging pad. Blue ambient lighting is also present in the doors. The car features a 5-speed manual transmission, a manual handbrake, and two glass holders. The armrest has storage space inside. The glove box is cooled, keeping items chilled. Other features include a manually adjustable IRVM, a sunglass holder, and a yellow halogen roof light. The electric sunroof opens and closes with one touch. The driver’s sun visor has a ticket holder, and the passenger’s has a vanity mirror.

Engine Performance and Pricing

The Hyundai i20 comes only with a petrol engine. While specific power figures are not detailed, the car offers good performance and many features.

The Asta manual transmission variant has an ex-showroom price of Rs. 9,34,000. On-road in Lucknow, it costs approximately Rs. 10,65,000.

Key Safety Features
