Explore the Mahindra Scorpio N Carbon Edition, a new launch that brings a distinct style to the Scorpio N lineup. This special SUV comes in two versions: Z and Z Luxury. We will focus on the top-tier Z Luxury Diesel Manual Transmission model, offering a full review of its features.
Exterior Design
The Scorpio N Carbon Edition features an all-black theme on the outside. The headlights are completely blacked out, and chrome accents are replaced with a dark chrome finish. It includes LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) that blink brightly.
This SUV offers a ground clearance of about 187 to 190 millimeters. It rides on large 18-inch alloy wheels with a unique design, featuring the Mahindra logo. The side cladding is also black, matching the overall Carbon Edition look. Door handles come with a dark chrome finish instead of standard body color. The B-pillar is matte black, and roof rails are in a grey finish. This model also includes a sunroof.
A notable change for the Carbon Edition is the black finish instead of chrome around the windows. All four wheels feature disc brakes for improved stopping power.
Dimensions
The Mahindra Scorpio N has a length of 4662 millimeters, a width of 1917 millimeters, and a height of 1857 millimeters. The wheelbase measures 2750 millimeters, providing a stable and spacious ride.
Rear Profile
The rear of the Scorpio N features the Mahindra logo and ‘Scorpio N’ branding. It has eye-catching LED taillights. You will also find a rear wiper, defogger, a high-mount stop lamp, and an integrated spoiler with a shark fin antenna. A spare wheel is located at the bottom rear.
The third row of seats can be folded down to expand the boot space. With the third row folded, you get a generous 460 liters of cargo room. When the third row is in use, the boot space is more limited. Essential tools like the jack are stored under the floor.
Interior and Comfort
The interior of the Scorpio N Carbon Edition features an all-black dashboard, a change from the brown interior in regular models. The door trims are also black with dark chrome door openers and grey handles. Soft-touch materials are present on the door panels, along with power window controls, bottle holders, and speakers.
The seats are upholstered in black leather, offering electric adjustments for front passengers. A footstep helps with easy entry and exit. The driver’s side includes controls for ORVMs, central locking, and headlamp adjustment. It also has a push-button start/stop feature.
The cluster includes an RPM meter, speedometer, and an advanced LCD screen displaying trip info, mileage, range, and more. A large 8-inch infotainment system with AdrenoX connectivity is central, featuring a reverse parking camera with good clarity. Both front seats are ventilated, with controls integrated into the infotainment screen.
The SUV boasts dual-zone climate control, allowing both the driver and co-driver to set their preferred temperatures. Below the infotainment system are controls for hazard lights, traction control, and three drive modes: Zip, Zap, and Zoom. There’s also a wireless charging pad and two Type-C USB ports. The manual transmission shifter has a glossy black finish.
Additional features include a manual handbrake, a leather-wrapped armrest with storage, and a cooled glove box. The frameless IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror) adds to the premium feel. White LED lights illuminate the cabin, and a large electric sunroof provides an open-air experience. A sunshade with a vanity mirror and light is available for passengers.
Rear passengers benefit from AC vents, a Type-C USB port, and ample legroom. The 60:40 split rear seats can be folded for more cargo space. Two large adjustable headrests and a fixed small headrest are present. While the second row is spacious, the third row is more suitable for children or shorter adults, with a 12V charging outlet and adjustable headrests, but no dedicated AC vents. The roof lining is black, and airbags are clearly marked on the pillars.
