The new Tata Curvv is making waves with its modern design and impressive features. Today, we’re taking a closer look at its second top model, the Adventure Plus Diesel variant. This SUV offers a blend of style, comfort, and performance, packed with many advanced technologies.

Pricing and Variants

The Tata Curvv lineup starts with the Smart variant, followed by Pure, Adventure, Accomplish, and the top-tier Accomplish Plus. The base Smart model has an ex-showroom price of ₹14,99,000. The Adventure Plus Diesel variant is priced at ₹15,99,000 ex-showroom. On-road in Lucknow, this diesel model costs approximately ₹18,52,000, after a small adjustment for insurance differences. For those preferring petrol, the Adventure Plus variant is around ₹15,29,000 ex-showroom, with an on-road price of about ₹17,71,000. The difference between the diesel and petrol Adventure Plus variants is roughly ₹80,000 to ₹81,000.

Striking Exterior Design

The Tata Curvv Adventure Plus Diesel boasts an upgraded and futuristic front fascia. It features connected Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and a large Tata logo with a 360-degree camera placed just below it. The front grille comes in a glossy black finish with prominent Curvv badging. Below the DRLs, you’ll find LED automatic headlamps and LED white fog lamps. The front also includes two parking sensors and a lower grille in matt black with glossy accents. A silver skid plate adds to its rugged appeal. The engine bay is fully covered from below.

Moving to the side, the Curvv Adventure Plus rides on stylish 18-inch alloy wheels fitted with 225/60 R18 Radial tires. Both front and rear wheels are equipped with disc brakes. The side profile features glossy black cladding and auto-fold ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) that fold and unfold with the car’s lock/unlock function. These ORVMs also integrate turn indicators and part of the 360-degree camera system. The B-pillar is finished in black, and the car features new flush door handles for a sleek look.

At the rear, the Tata Curvv showcases impressive connected LED tail lights that span the width of the vehicle. A large Tata logo sits in the center, with Curvv badging below it. It includes a rear defogger and a hidden rear wiper for improved visibility. A shark fin antenna is mounted on the roof. The bumper is in glossy black, complemented by a silver skid plate. A reverse parking camera is positioned near the number plate, along with two ultrasonic parking sensors and reflectors. The boot also features unique lights that remain visible when the tailgate is open, enhancing safety. The spare wheel is a normal steel type, located under the car.

Dimensions and Ground Clearance

The Tata Curvv has a length of 4340 mm, a width of 1841 mm, and a height of 1715 mm. The wheelbase, which is the distance between the front and rear tires, is a generous 2730 mm. This muscular SUV offers a substantial ground clearance of 205 mm, making it suitable for various terrains.

Spacious and Advanced Interior

Inside, the Tata Curvv Adventure Plus offers a dual-tone interior with a futuristic feel. The doors include power window controls, a glossy finish, door openers, and lock/unlock knobs. Sun blind curtains are provided for rear passengers, along with speakers and bottle holders. The seats are designed for comfort, with extended thigh support, height adjustment, and recline options for the driver.

The cabin features an illuminated logo on the new steering wheel, which is remarkably light and easy to maneuver. A fully digital instrument cluster displays RPM, speedometer, trip information, mileage, drive assist data, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), temperature, fuel level, and range. Cruise control and MID controls are integrated into the steering wheel. Both tilt and telescopic adjustments are available for the steering.

A large 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system dominates the center console, offering wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also allows full operation of the automatic climate control. The 360-degree camera provides exceptional quality, with various viewing options. The center console includes touch-responsive buttons for features like hazard lights, hill descent, and fog lamps. Dual-zone climate control allows separate temperature settings for the driver and co-driver. Two 65W Type-C USB ports and a USB port are available for charging and connectivity.

The Adventure Plus variant comes with a six-speed manual transmission, with an automatic option also available. It includes an electronic parking brake and an auto-hold switch. The armrest can be slid forward and backward, revealing storage space underneath. Ambient lighting in sky blue (with multiple color options) enhances the cabin’s atmosphere. The glove box is cooled and illuminated. A manual IRVM and white LED roof lights are also part of the package.

The Curvv also boasts a large panoramic sunroof that extends far back, offering an expansive view. Rear passengers benefit from AC vents and two Type-C USB ports (65W). The flat floor and generous legroom, thanks to the 2730 mm wheelbase, ensure comfortable seating for all. The rear seats feature a 60-40 split function and three adjustable headrests.

Practical Boot Space

The Tata Curvv offers a best-in-segment boot space of 622 liters. The top model even provides an electric tailgate option. The rear seats can be folded in a 60-40 split configuration, expanding the cargo area to around 1000 liters. The boot includes hooks with a 3 kg payload capacity, a 12V charging outlet, and a yellow boot light.

Engine Options and Performance

The Tata Curvv Adventure Plus offers diverse engine options:

  • 1.5 L Revotorq Diesel Engine (4-cylinder): This engine delivers 116 BHP of power and 260 Nm of torque with the manual transmission. The automatic variant offers even more torque at 280 Nm. This diesel engine provides an impressive mileage of up to 20 kmpl and notably, does not require AdBlue.
  • Petrol Engine Options (1.5 L):
    • 1.5 L High Power Turbo Petrol: This option produces 158 BHP of power and 255 Nm of torque.
    • 1.5 L Non-Turbo Petrol: This engine offers 105 BHP of power and 145 Nm of torque. Petrol variants are expected to deliver a mileage of 17-18 kmpl.
