Mahindra XUV300 Variants and Dimensions
The XUV300 is available in a total of four variants: the base W4, W6, W8, and the top-end W8 Optional model. The top-end model also offers a dual-tone color option. All variants feature central locking, with the W6 and top-end models equipped with a flip key.
In terms of size, the XUV300 measures 3995 mm in length and 1821 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2600 mm and offers a notable ground clearance of 180 mm. The car’s overall dimensions contribute to its appealing looks.
Exterior Design and Features
The front of the XUV300 features a black radiator grille. The W6 variant comes with normal halogen headlamps and indicators. Fog lamps are available from the second-base variant, while DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) are provided in the top-end and upper variants. The bonnet has distinct creases and a dual wiper setup.
Moving to the side, the W6 variant includes 16-inch steel rims with wheel covers. The ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) are body-colored and electrically adjustable. The A-pillar is finished in black piano. Roof rails are present, and the W6 variant, whether petrol or diesel, offers an electric sunroof, enhancing the driving experience. The car also features side cladding.
At the rear, the XUV300 sports a shark fin antenna and an integrated spoiler with a high-mount stop lamp. It also includes a rear wiper, washer, and defogger. The rear bumper has reflectors and an option for a towing hook. Parking sensors are also integrated into the rear bumper, along with an exhaust pipe visible underneath. The rear wheels are equipped with drum brakes.
The Mahindra XUV300 comes in a range of six color options: White, Black, Silver, Red, Aqua Marine, and a dual-tone option for the top variant.
Interior Comfort and Technology
Inside the cabin, the W6 variant’s door panels feature a dual-tone finish with controls for all four power windows and electrically adjustable ORVMs. The door openers have a black finish. The dashboard is designed with a black and beige theme.
The instrument cluster has a sporty look with an analog display and a multi-information display (MID) screen in the center. This MID shows information like RPM, speed, average fuel consumption, time, trip A/B details, and range. The steering wheel includes controls for wipers on the right and headlamps on the left. The W6 variant does not feature audio or call controls on the steering wheel.
The center console is equipped with a twin audio system, offering buttons for Bluetooth, AUX, USB, and call functions. The AC vents have a black finish. Below these, there is a hazard light switch and buttons to control the trip information and MID. The W6 variant provides a manual AC system, not an automatic climate control. Conveniently placed USB and AUX ports, along with a 12V charging socket and storage space, are found near the gear lever. The XUV300 comes with a 6-speed manual transmission, with an AMT option also available. Other interior features include a handbrake and glass holders. The glove box offers deep storage space.
The W6 variant also boasts an electric sunroof with dedicated controls, allowing passengers to enjoy the view. It includes reading lamps, a sunglass holder, and a microphone. Both the driver and co-passenger sides feature vanity mirrors, with the co-passenger side also having a light.
For rear passengers, the car offers fabric seats with fixed headrests and seatbelts. The rear door panels are dual-tone and include power window controls, door speakers, door openers, and bottle holders. While there are no rear AC vents in this variant, the XUV300 provides excellent leg space and thigh support, ensuring a comfortable ride for rear occupants in this compact SUV. A grab handle with a hook is also present.
Boot Space and Fuel Capacity
The Mahindra XUV300 offers a boot space of 257 liters. The boot gate can be opened using an electromagnetic button. The W6 variant does not come with a parcel tray, but it can be added later. A spare wheel is located beneath the boot floor. The fuel tank capacity is 42 liters.
Engine Options and Performance
The XUV300 is available with two engine options:
- Petrol Engine: A 1.2-liter engine that produces 108 BHP of power and 200 Nm of torque. It offers a mileage of approximately 17 kmpl.
- Diesel Engine: A 1.5-liter engine that delivers 115 BHP of power and 300 Nm of torque. This engine provides a mileage of approximately 20 kmpl.
