The new Alto K10 has been recently launched, bringing a fresh design and updated features. This latest model is completely changed from the previous Alto K10, offering a modern look both inside and out. It draws some inspiration from the classic Maruti Celerio in its styling.
Introducing the New Alto K10
The new Alto K10 is available in four different variants: Standard, LXi, VXi, and VXi+. You can choose between manual and automatic transmission options to suit your driving style. Currently, this car is offered only with a petrol engine, though a CNG option is expected to be available in the future. Compared to the older Alto, the new Alto K10 has increased length, height, and wheelbase, making it a more spacious and robust compact car.
Exterior Design and Dimensions
From the front, the new Alto K10 features a distinct design with projector headlights that contribute to its modern appeal. The Suzuki logo sits proudly on a large black grille. The side mirrors are normal, and the indicators have a clear lens setup. Fog lamps are also present, adding to the front’s attractive look. The car sports nice wheel arches, and engine specifications are visible at the bottom. The front bonnet has a simple design, and there’s a single washer for the windshield. A power antenna is placed on the roof.
The side profile of the Alto K10 also features a classic design. It comes with 13-inch steel wheels and an increased wheelbase, contributing to better stability. The car’s length is approximately 3530 mm, width is 1490 mm, and height is 1520 mm. It has a wheelbase of 2380 mm and a ground clearance of 160 mm. The side profile is clean and simple. All doors are made of metal, ensuring durability.
Moving to the rear, the car presents a simple and clean look. The Suzuki logo is centrally placed, along with the Alto K10 badge. It features normal halogen tail lights and a high-mount stop lamp. Reflectors are integrated into the bumper, maintaining a simple and sober design. In the VXi+ top model, you will find two parking sensors. The bumper is body-colored, and the exhaust pipe is located at the bottom. The suspension setup is visible underneath. The ground clearance is considered good for a small car. The boot can be opened using a lever near the driver’s seat. The VXi+ model also includes a parcel tray. The boot offers 214 liters of space, which is decent for a compact car. A full-size spare tire is also provided.
Comfort and Interior Features
Inside, the new Alto K10 features a simple black interior with a single-tone dashboard. The driver gets a digital instrument cluster. In the center, there are controls for various functions, including manual air conditioning. A 12V charging socket, storage space, and two cup holders are conveniently placed. The car offers a 5-speed manual gear shift, with an automatic option also available. A handbrake is located nearby. The passenger side also has an AC vent, and there’s a glove box for storage. The roof has a simple light, but there is no light inside the glove box.
The steering wheel features the Suzuki logo. In the top model, you get steering-mounted controls for the infotainment system. The infotainment system supports Bluetooth connectivity. Speaker placement is in the front doors. The rear seats offer good legroom and headroom, making them comfortable for passengers. The rear seats have fixed headrests, and the rear windows are manual.
Performance and Efficiency
The new Alto K10 is powered by a 1.0-liter K10C petrol engine with 998cc displacement. This engine delivers 66 BHP of power and 89 Nm of torque. A key highlight of the Alto K10 is its impressive fuel efficiency, with a company-claimed mileage of 24.39 kmpl, making it a very economical car to run.
Colors, Price, and Safety
The new Alto K10 is available in a total of six attractive color options: Silver, White, Red, Blue, Grey, and Gold.
The on-road price for the new Alto K10 ranges approximately from 4.5 lakh to 6.5 lakh, depending on the chosen variant and city.
Safety is a priority in the new Alto K10, which comes equipped with several important features. These include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), rear parking sensors, a seat belt reminder system, a speed alert system, and dual front airbags.
