Front Profile
The front profile of the Mahindra Thar is big and muscular. It features the classic Mahindra grille. You get a normal headlamp setup, which can be modified later. Turn indicators are placed on the fenders. Lower down, you’ll find halogen fog lamps. The front bumper is also muscular and robust, designed for tough use and off-road protection.
Side Profile
The side profile is also muscular, just like the front and back. It comes with 18-inch alloy wheels. You have options for both a soft top and a hardtop. The front fenders measure 2085 mm. The alloy wheels have a gunmetal finish. It features disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The tire size is 255/65 R18, with a full-size spare tire. You’ll find footrests, Thar branding on the fenders, and electrically adjustable ORVMs, also with Thar branding. The hardtop roof and glass panels add to its appeal. Rear Profile
The rear profile is equally muscular and striking. The total length of the car is 3985 mm, width is 1855 mm, and height is 1844 mm. The wheelbase measures 2450 mm. A significant advantage is the ground clearance of 226 mm. The fuel tank capacity is 57 liters, and it is opened using the car key. The rear lights are LED, and there’s a high-mount stop lamp. The spare tire is also an alloy wheel. The rear bumper includes two parking sensors and a robust exhaust pipe. Interior and Cabin Features
The cabin features a black interior with hard plastic materials throughout, including the door panels and dashboard. This design choice is due to the option of a soft top. The front seats offer good thigh support and are height-adjustable. You’ll also find Thar branded scuff plates and footrests for easy entry due to the car’s height.
Dashboard and Controls
The dashboard houses an analog instrument cluster with a speedometer and tachometer, providing information like trip details, average mileage, range, and tire pressure monitoring. The steering wheel features the Mahindra logo, cruise controls, and audio system controls. The center console includes a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, USB, and AUX support. It also displays various vehicle information. Below the infotainment system are the AC controls with fan speed adjustment and other essential switches like hazard lights and seatbelt reminders. The car comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. You’ll find power window controls conveniently located in the center, along with a handbrake and two cup holders. A grab handle is provided for stability during off-road drives. The glove box is small, suitable mainly for documents. The rear seating area is designed for two passengers with adjustable headrests. Accessing the rear involves folding and sliding the front passenger seat forward. The rear passengers also get two cup holders and grab handles.
