You can choose between petrol and CNG engine options. The car comes in several variants, including XE (base), XM CNG, XT, and XZ+.

Engine Performance and Fuel Efficiency

This hatchback provides two strong engine choices:

  • Petrol Engine: A 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine offers 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. It delivers a mileage of about 20-22 km/l.
  • CNG Engine: When running on CNG, the engine gives 72 PS of power and 95 Nm of torque. You can expect an impressive mileage of around 26 km/l. A unique feature is the ability to start the car directly on CNG.

Exterior Design and Practicality

The car’s exterior features a smart design:

  • Front View: The front shows a big Tata logo on a tri-arrow design grille. It has normal halogen headlights and side indicators. This model does not include fog lamps, but higher models offer projector DRLs and fog lamps. There is a towing option on the front bumper, and the lower grille is blacked out.
  • Ground Clearance: The car has a ground clearance of 170mm, helping it tackle various road conditions.
  • Side View: From the side, you’ll see matte black door handles and outside mirrors. The outside mirrors can be adjusted and folded manually. Indicators are placed on the fender. The car uses 14-inch steel rims with 175/65 R14 tires. It has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear.
  • Dimensions: The car measures 3765mm in length, 1677mm in width, and 1535mm in height. The wheelbase is 2400mm, providing good cabin space.
  • Fuel Filling: It has separate caps for petrol (32-liter capacity) and CNG (8-9 kg capacity when empty). A safety sensor stops the car from starting if the fuel cap is left open.
  • Rear View: The rear features the Tata logo and Tiago badge. CNG models also have an iCNG badge. It has halogen tail lights, a high-mount stop lamp, and a sporty gloss black spoiler. Two reverse parking sensors are in the bumper. This particular variant does not have a rear wiper or defogger.

Safety Rating

This hatchback has received a strong 4-star safety rating from GNCAP in crash tests, highlighting its focus on occupant safety.

Comfortable and Functional Interior

The interior is designed for comfort and ease of use:

  • Dashboard: The dashboard has a dual-tone finish.
  • Instrument Cluster: It features a full digital instrument cluster with a multi-information display (MID). The MID shows trip information (A and B), RPM, and fuel levels for both CNG and petrol.
  • Steering: The steering wheel has a Tata logo and is tilt-adjustable for driver comfort. Headlamp and wiper controls are located on the stalks. This variant does not have steering-mounted controls.
  • Infotainment: The car includes an audio system with touch-responsive buttons. It offers Bluetooth, USB, and AUX connectivity, along with speakers. There’s also a switch to convert between CNG and petrol modes.
  • Air Conditioning: Manual AC controls are provided for comfortable cabin temperature.
  • Convenience: You’ll find a 12V charging outlet, a USB port, and storage spaces. There are two glass holders and a manual handbrake.
  • Seats: The seats are made of fabric and offer a recline option. Fixed headrests are provided for all passengers.
  • Boot Space: Despite being a CNG car, it offers good boot space. It has two 30+30 kg CNG cylinders cleverly placed, leaving usable room for small bags. The puncture repair kit and spare wheel are located underneath the boot floor.
  • Safety Features: Standard safety features include dual airbags (one for the driver, one for the passenger), ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, a speed alert system, and seat belt warnings.
