Exterior Design Highlights
The Tata Punch boasts a muscular and robust exterior. Upfront, it features LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and automatic projector headlamps, complemented by front fog lamps. The blacked-out grille proudly displays the Tata logo, and Tri-arrow design elements are visible throughout the vehicle. The micro SUV offers an impressive 187mm ground clearance.
From the side, the Punch showcases black-finished outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) that are electrically adjustable and foldable. It rides on dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels and features body cladding along the sides and on the rear bumper for a rugged look. Top models also come with a dual-tone roof and roof rails. A unique feature is the 90-degree door opening, allowing for very easy entry and exit.
The rear design is equally attractive, featuring LED tail lamps with a Tri-arrow design. A reverse parking camera and two ultra-sonic reverse parking sensors are integrated into the rear bumper. Other rear features include a rear wiper, defogger, and a high-mount stop lamp. A request sensor is located on the driver’s side door.
Interior Design and Comfort
Inside, the Tata Punch offers a comfortable and feature-rich cabin with a dual-tone dashboard. Central to the interior is a 7-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system from Harman, which supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This system is paired with a combination of four speakers and two tweeters. For modern connectivity, iRA connected car technology is also available.
The car ensures comfort with automatic climate control. The flat-bottom steering wheel provides controls for the infotainment system, phone calls, and cruise control. Drivers will appreciate the 7-inch digital instrument cluster that displays speed, RPM, and other essential vehicle information.
Convenience features include a push start/stop button and selectable drive modes (Eco and City). The glove box is cooled and illuminated, offering good storage space. The cabin also provides door pockets with bottle holders and speakers, multiple 12V charging sockets, and various storage compartments. The seats are upholstered in fabric, and both front and rear headrests are adjustable. Rear seats also include an armrest.
Engine and Performance
The Tata Punch is powered by a 1.2-liter Revotron 3-cylinder petrol engine. This engine delivers 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. It is available with both manual and automatic transmission options.
Variants and Colors
The Tata Punch is offered in a total of four variants, including Pure, Adventure, and Creative. Customers have a choice of seven color options for the top model. The base model offers two color choices, while the second-best model comes with four color options.
Safety Features
Safety is a priority in the Tata Punch. Key safety features include ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), dual airbags, central locking, seatbelt warning, and Corner Stability Control.
Dimensions and Boot Space
The Tata Punch measures 3827mm in length, 1742mm in width, and 1615mm in height. It provides a generous 319 liters of boot space, which includes a boot light, hooks for securing items, and a parcel tray. A spare wheel, which is one inch smaller than the main wheels, is also provided in the boot.
