Our travel route took us near the Dudhwa National Park area, where we witnessed incredibly beautiful forests. The roads provided breathtaking views at every twist and turn. We passed through the Pilibhit forests, which looked as picturesque as scenes from a movie. These captivating areas showcase the true beauty of Uttarakhand’s valleys.
The Spiritual Ascent to Purnagiri Mata
The adventure continued with a climb starting from Tanakpur, heading towards the sacred Purnagiri Mata temple. From here, the mountain views are truly stunning and refreshing for the mind. The Purnagiri Mata temple is located about 12 kilometers up the winding path. During the month of July, the area felt very peaceful and quiet, adding to the serene atmosphere of this spiritual journey.

As we ascended, the majestic Sharda River flowed gracefully between the mountains. The calming sounds of waterfalls nearby create a soothing natural symphony. Looking down, cars on the roads below appear as tiny as ants, and the vast river seems like a narrow stream. The Sharda Canal originates from these very Uttarakhand mountains.
