The new Santro Sport variant is expected to be priced around six lakh rupees. It features a 1086cc, 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine delivers 68 PS of power and 99 Nm of torque at 4500 RPM.

Exterior Design and Features

The Santro Sport variant boasts an appealing front profile. It includes halogen headlights and fog lamps, along with a company-fitted grille that enhances its look. The car is available in both manual and automatic transmission options.

On the sides, you will find 14-inch steel wheels. The side mirrors are body-colored and come with integrated turn indicators. The fuel tank has a capacity of 35 liters.

The rear profile also looks great, featuring “Sport” badging. It has halogen tail lights (not LED) and a high-mount stop light. For easier parking, the car is equipped with two reverse parking sensors. The ground clearance is 165mm, and the wheelbase measures 2400mm.

Interior Comfort and Features

Inside the Santro Sport, the doors include a bottle holder and space for speakers. The seats are manually adjustable.

The interior comes with a range of controls. The steering wheel has mounted controls for calls and Bluetooth connectivity. You will also find controls for wipers and lights. A touchscreen infotainment system is available, offering Bluetooth, USB, and Aux connectivity. The car has manual AC controls and a 5-speed manual transmission. The side AC vents are designed in a unique shape.

Storage options include a glove box and other convenient spaces for items like phones. The power window controls for all four windows are centrally located. Other interior features include a manual IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror) and sun visors, though a vanity mirror is not included.

Cargo Space

The Santro Sport offers a practical boot space of 235 liters. It also comes with a parcel tray.

Rear Passenger Comfort

Rear passengers will find decent legroom. The rear doors have power window controls, also centrally located. Rear AC vents are provided for comfort, and there’s a reading light in the rear. A parcel tray is also available in the back.

Fuel Efficiency

The company claims a mileage of approximately 20 kmpl for the Santro Sport variant.

Dimensions and Safety Features

The Santro Sport measures 3610mm in length, 1645mm in width, and 1560mm in height. It has a turning radius of 4.4 meters. The car comes with 14-inch tires.

For safety, the Santro Sport includes features like ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and airbags. It also offers central locking, child safety locks, power door locks, and a door ajar warning system.

Variants and Competitors

The Santro Sport is available in both petrol and CNG variants. Its main competitors in the market include the Maruti Wagon R, Maruti Celerio, and Tiago.
