The new Maruti Swift arrives with a fresh design and a host of updated features, promising a sporty feel and enhanced driving experience. This popular hatchback car has received significant upgrades both inside and out.

Modern Front Design

The front profile of the new Swift looks sporty and attractive. It features a new glossy black front grille. The headlamps are completely redesigned, now sporting L-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) and an automatic LED headlamp setup. Integrated fog lamps are also part of the design. The lower grille is finished in black, giving it a sleek appearance.

Dynamic Side Profile

From the side, the new Swift stands out with 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, similar to previous models. The tire profile is 185/65 R15. The side mirrors are gloss black and include integrated turn indicators; they are electrically adjustable and foldable. The car also features body-colored door handles and a request sensor on the driver’s side for easy locking and unlocking. Depending on the model, a dual-tone roof in black adds to its sporty appeal, with pillars finished in gloss black. The fuel tank capacity is 37 liters.

Sporty Rear Design

The rear of the new Swift is equally impressive, featuring attractive LED taillights with a distinctive shape. The ‘Swift’ badge is centrally placed, along with the Suzuki logo. A reverse parking camera is integrated, and the car comes with four reverse parking sensors in the bumper for added safety. Other rear features include a rear wiper, defogger, high mount stop lamp, washer, and a power antenna on the roof.

Dimensions and Boot Space

The new Swift has slightly revised dimensions, measuring 3860 mm in length, 1735 mm in width, and 1520 mm in height. It offers a practical boot space of 268 liters, suitable for luggage. The rear seats are 60:40 split-foldable, allowing for flexible cargo arrangements. A boot light is also provided. Inside the boot, a toolkit compartment and a 14-inch steel spare wheel are located beneath the floor.

Enhanced Interior and Comfort

Step inside the new Swift to experience a refreshed cabin. The dashboard has a new layout, featuring a large 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The car now includes automatic climate control and a wireless charging pad. The steering wheel is a flat-bottom, leather-wrapped unit with integrated controls for cruise control, audio, and telephony; it is tilt-adjustable. The instrument cluster is redesigned, with a speedometer on one side, a tachometer on the other, and a multi-information display (MID) in the center showing various vehicle details like mileage, range, and trip information.

Rear passengers benefit from dedicated AC vents and two USB charging ports (Type A and Type C). The seats are fabric-upholstered, and rear passengers get two adjustable headrests. Door trims are all-black, with chrome finishes on the inside handles and bottle holders. The front seats also offer improved cushioning for extra comfort.

Advanced Safety Features

Safety is a priority in the new Swift. It comes standard with six airbags across all variants. Other safety features include ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, a reverse parking camera, traction control, a speed alert system, seat belt warnings, and hill assist. Three-point seat belts are also provided for all passengers.

Engine and Performance

Under the hood, the new Swift is powered by a new Z-series 3-cylinder petrol engine. This engine is designed for improved fuel efficiency. With the Automatic Gear Shift (AGS) transmission, the company claims a mileage of up to 25 kilometers per liter. This new engine aims to offer a refined and efficient driving experience.

Pricing and Variants

The new Maruti Swift is available at an ex-showroom starting price of 6.49 lakh for the base variant. The top-end ZXi AGS Dual Tone variant is priced at approximately 9.64 lakh ex-showroom.

Color Options

The new Swift is available in a variety of colors, including a striking red launch color, white, and grey, among others.

With its updated design, improved features, enhanced safety, and better mileage, the new Maruti Swift aims to offer a compelling package in the hatchback segment.
