The All-New Tata Punch Facelift introduces revised variant names. The base model is now called Smart, followed by Pure, Adventure, and the top model, Accomplish. The Facelift pricing starts at an attractive ₹5,69,000 (ex-showroom). The top model, Accomplish Plus, is priced at ₹8,99,000 (ex-showroom).

Enhanced Features

The Tata Punch Facelift comes packed with more features than before. Even the base model now includes LED headlamps, six airbags, and remote central locking. The top model offers a 360-degree camera, stylish new alloy wheels, and a smart key. A new 1.2 L turbo petrol engine option, previously seen in another popular model, is also available for the top model.

Striking Exterior Design

The Facelift boasts a muscular and striking exterior. The front features a redesigned black grill with the Tata logo, LED DRLs, and automatic LED headlamps. Top variants also get LED fog lamps and a front-grill integrated camera for the 360-degree view. The ground clearance has been increased to 193.5 mm from 187 mm.

From the side, enjoy features like rain-sensing wipers, a black roof (for the top model), an electric sunroof, and roof rails. It rides on stylish 16-inch alloy wheels, with disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The auto-fold ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) include turn indicators and side cameras, which are part of the 360-degree system. The doors feature body-colored handles and matte black B-pillars, along with black cladding along the lower edges for a robust look.

The rear profile is highlighted by impressive connected LED taillights, which also contribute to a slight increase in the car’s overall length. You’ll find the Tata logo, Punch badging, a rear wiper, defogger, high mount stop lamp, and a shark-fin antenna. Dual-tone roof options are available for the top model. For easier parking, there are two ultrasonic parking sensors and a reverse parking camera. The reverse light is smartly integrated into the bumper, and the license plate light is a bright white LED.

The fuel tank capacity remains at 37 liters for the petrol variants.

Practical Boot Space

The boot space remains a generous 366 liters, offering ample room for luggage. The rear seats are 100% foldable, allowing for even more cargo capacity when needed. A parcel tray is also included, and a boot light illuminates the storage area. The spare wheel is located beneath the boot floor. For those opting for CNG variants, a twin CNG cylinder setup is available, which cleverly integrates the cylinders without compromising much on the boot space.

Advanced Interior Features

Step inside the Tata Punch Facelift and experience a refreshed, dual-tone dashboard. New features include a wireless charging pad, red ambient lighting, and a new steering wheel. The car’s doors open wide at 90 degrees, making entry and exit very easy for all passengers.

The top model boasts an electric sunroof and offers rear AC vents with a 15W Type-C USB port for rear passengers. The cabin provides ample legroom, knee room, and headroom, with a flat floor for enhanced comfort. Rear seats feature two adjustable headrests and three-point seat belts for all occupants, along with a comfortable armrest (without cup holders).

The driver’s cockpit features a new, leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel with controls for cruise control, MID (Multi-Information Display), telephony, and infotainment. The steering wheel is tilt-adjustable for optimal driving comfort. Automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers enhance convenience. A fully digital instrument cluster displays all essential information, including RPM, speed, fuel level, and trip details.

The center console houses a large 10.25-inch bezel-less touchscreen infotainment system with various applications and a 360-degree camera view. It supports connectivity options like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The automatic climate control panel has touch-responsive buttons, along with a hazard light switch and a shortcut button for the 360-degree camera. Other controls include hill descent control, fog lamps, and two drive modes (Economy and City). An idle start-stop button is also present to improve fuel efficiency.

Below the AC controls, you’ll find a wireless charging pad, red ambient lighting, a 12V charging outlet, and two Type-C USB ports (one 65W fast-charging). The Punch Facelift comes with a 5-speed manual transmission, and for the first time in its segment, an automatic option is available for CNG variants. Two glass holders are placed near the manual handbrake, and the armrest offers additional storage. The cooled glove box includes a light and a tablet holder. An auto-dimming IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror), white LED roof lights, and SOS/i-Call emergency buttons complete the premium interior.

Powerful Engine Options

The Tata Punch Facelift offers a range of engine options to suit different needs. The Accomplish Plus top model comes with a new 1.2 L three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which was not previously available in the Punch. This engine delivers approximately 118 bhp of power and 117 Nm of torque, with a mileage of 18-19 kmpl.

For lower variants, a 1.2 L three-cylinder non-turbo petrol engine is available, producing around 85 bhp of power and 115 Nm of torque.

For environmentally conscious drivers, a CNG variant is also offered, providing approximately 72 PS of power and 103 Nm of torque.

Top-Tier Safety

Safety is a priority in the Tata Punch Facelift, earning it a 5-star safety rating. It comes equipped with comprehensive safety features including ABS with EBD, six airbags, reverse parking sensors, a reverse parking camera, and a speed alert system. Additional features include seat belt warning, engine immobilizer, crash sensors, traction control, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), and hill descent control.

Conclusion

The All-New Tata Punch Facelift is a micro-SUV that truly stands out with its enhanced features, muscular design, powerful engine options, and a strong emphasis on safety. With its upgrades, it continues to be a top contender in its segment.
