Nissan Gravit: An Affordable 7-Seater Car

The Nissan Gravit is Nissan’s latest 7-seater MPV. This new car offers many features at a very good price. The base model, called Viya, starts from just ₹5,65,000. The second-top model, known as the Unconnective variant, costs ₹7,20,000 (ex-showroom). The model shown here is the second-top variant in black color. It looks similar to the Renault Triber but offers better after-sales service and more features in its top models.

Nissan Gravit Exterior: Front Look

The front of the Nissan Gravit features a glossy black grille with the Nissan logo in the middle. Above it, you will find the Gravit badge and some silver design. The car comes with projector headlamps that also include the indicators. For easier parking, there are three front parking sensors. A silver-finished skid plate is also present at the bottom of the front. The ground clearance for the Gravit is 182 mm, which is quite generous. On the roof, there are dual wipers and washers, a plain roof, a power antenna, and black roof rails.

Nissan Gravit Side View and Features

From the side, the Nissan Gravit looks stylish. The ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) are electrically adjustable and include indicator lights. The car runs on 14-inch steel rims with wheel covers that give the feel of alloy wheels, complete with the Nissan logo. The tires are 165/80R 14-inch. For braking, it has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The side profile also features matte black cladding and Gravit badging. Both the B and C pillars have a matte black finish. The fuel tank has a 40-liter capacity for petrol and can be opened using a lever inside the car. The Gravit comes with a warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh kilometers.

Nissan Gravit Dimensions

The Nissan Gravit is a compact MPV, falling under the 4-meter length category. Its length is 3987 mm, making it slightly longer than some similar cars. The width measures 1734 mm, and the height is 1644 mm. The car’s wheelbase, which is the distance between the front and rear wheels, is 2636 mm.

Nissan Gravit Rear Design

The rear profile of the Nissan Gravit is quite impressive. It features LED taillights that include indicators and reverse lights. The Nissan logo is placed in the center, surrounded by a silver finish. Other features include a rear wiper, a defogger, and a high-mount stop lamp. A large Gravit badge is prominently displayed. The car’s suspension setup and exhaust pipe are visible from the rear.

Nissan Gravit Boot Space and Storage

Opening the tailgate with a request sensor reveals the boot space. With all seats in an upright position, the boot space is approximately 80-100 liters. However, if you fold both third-row seats, the boot space expands significantly to about 625 liters. You can even remove the third-row seats if only five people are traveling, creating a large area for luggage. The car also includes a tool kit. The spare wheel is a normal steel rim and is stored under the car, accessed by a bolt.

Nissan Gravit Third-Row Seating

The interior of the Nissan Gravit features fabric seats. To access the third row, the second-row seats can be tumble-folded. The third-row seating space is best suited for children. Adults, especially those around 5 feet 10 inches tall, might find it a bit cramped with average thigh support. A quarter glass panel and a grab handle are available for third-row passengers. Notably, the last row also gets AC vents, a feature not always found in more expensive cars. Seatbelts are provided for two people, and there are two adjustable headrests. The third-row seats can be folded in a 50:50 split ratio.

Nissan Gravit Second-Row Comfort

The second-row seats in the Gravit can be reclined for better comfort. The door trims are dual-tone and include a door opener, power window controls, a speaker, and a bottle holder. AC vents are placed in the pillars, similar to the Triber, and have a knob to control fan speed. A 12V charging outlet is also provided. The legroom, knee room, and thigh support are good for a 7-seater at this price. A grab handle is available, and there is a white LED roof light. The floor is mostly flat, contributing to comfortable seating. Headroom in this row is also good.

Nissan Gravit Driver’s Cabin

The driver’s cabin of the Nissan Gravit is well-equipped. The car features six airbags for enhanced safety. The doors feel solid and are slightly larger than regular car doors. The key provided is a remote central locking type with lock and unlock buttons and the Nissan logo. The ORVMs are electrically adjustable. The driver-side door trim is dual-tone and includes controls for all four power windows, ORVM adjustments, a door opener, speakers, and a bottle holder.

Nissan Gravit Infotainment and Dashboard

The dashboard is dual-tone, and the seats are made of fabric with a recline option. A fuel lid opener is located on the driver’s side. The car comes with a manual transmission, featuring ABC pedals and controls for the headlamps. The dashboard design is similar to the Renault Triber.

The car features a fully digital instrument cluster, like the Magnite, which displays various warning lights. The steering wheel is leather-wrapped with the Nissan logo in the center and includes controls for telephone and infotainment. It also has a glossy finish and white stitching. The steering wheel is tilt-adjustable. Manual controls are present for headlamps and wipers. The digital cluster shows the RPM meter, digital speed, fuel level, and temperature. A central MID screen displays speed, trip A and B, range, mileage, service reminders, and a TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) alert if tire pressure is low.

The center console features an 8 to 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This system supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, USB, and Aux connectivity. It displays the Nissan logo when turned on and offers various applications and settings, including vehicle information. A reverse parking camera view can also be accessed through this screen. The car has a manual AC system with controls for fan speed, temperature, and airflow. The AC vents have a black finish. Below the console, there is a Type-A USB port and a 12V charging outlet, along with some storage space.

The center console also includes two glass holders and a hidden storage compartment that opens up. There is no central armrest. The glove box provides additional space for documents. The dashboard has a two-tone look with some unique finishes. The IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror) is manually adjustable. A white LED roof light illuminates the cabin. The passenger-side sun visor has a vanity mirror, while the driver’s side has a ticket holder and a microphone.
