Renault Triber RXL: Best 7-Seater MUV Under ₹7 Lakh – Price, Specs, and Features

Renault Triber: Affordable 7-Seater MPV | Features, Specs & Price

The Triber is a highly regarded Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV), known for its excellent features within its segment. It stands out as a top 7-seater car, offering an impressive blend of space and functionality at an affordable price point. This article provides a detailed overview of its pricing, exterior design, interior features, and safety.

Triber Variants and Engine Options

The Triber is available in four variants: RXE, RXL, RXT, and RXZ. It exclusively offers a petrol engine with choices of both manual and automatic transmission. You can select from a total of six attractive color options. The vehicle includes central locking, with the option of a remote button key or a standard key.

Exterior Design and Features

The Triber boasts an impressive exterior design. The front features a black finish grille with chrome inserts and a large brand logo at the center. It is equipped with projector headlights and turn indicators. While fog lamp placement is available, these can be added later. The lower grille is also black, complementing the overall design. With a ground clearance of 182 mm, the Triber offers good capability. The bonnet includes washer placement and wipers. Roof rails and a power antenna are now standard offerings, which were previously optional. Side looks are also notable, with turn indicators placed on the fenders. The ORVMs (Outside Rear-View Mirrors) and fuel filler cap now come in a black finish, a change from earlier body-colored options. The car rides on 165/80 R14 tires with wheel caps.

Interior Comfort and Technology

Inside, the Triber offers a comfortable cabin. The dashboard has a neat design. It features a music system that supports USB, AUX, and Bluetooth, paired with four speakers. The instrument cluster is digital, featuring a central display. The left side shows the speedometer, while the right side displays fuel gauge and temperature. It also provides various warning lights and average fuel consumption information. The steering wheel, adorned with the brand logo, is tilt-adjustable and comes with audio controls. AC vents have chrome accents. The car has storage spaces, including a 12V charging socket and two cup holders. The front seats come with black fabric upholstery. Power window controls are available for all four doors, with bottle holders and speaker placements on the door trims. Fixed headrests are provided. It also includes a glovebox for storage. Notably, B-pillar AC vents are no longer offered.

Space and Seating

As a 7-seater, the Triber excels in offering versatile space. To access the third row, the second-row seats can be folded easily. While the third row offers smaller space, typically suited for children, this is a common characteristic in most 7-seater vehicles. The second row provides good leg space and under-thigh support. Despite its compact size, the Triber’s cabin feels spacious. The boot space is 84 liters; however, like other 7-seater cars, the presence of the third row reduces the available boot capacity.

Performance and Safety

Powering the Triber is a 1000cc petrol engine, delivering 71 BHP of power and 96 Nm of torque. It offers an approximate mileage of 20 kmpl. The car is available with both a 5-speed manual transmission and an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) option. In terms of dimensions, it measures 3990 mm in length, 1739 mm in width, and 1643 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2636 mm. Safety is a key highlight, as the Triber has received a 4-star safety rating in crash tests. It is equipped with dual airbags, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), and EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution). Additional safety features include central locking, child safety locks, reverse parking sensors, seatbelt warning, speed warning, impact-sensing door unlock, and crash-sensing door unlock.

Pricing and Availability

The Triber is positioned as a highly affordable 7-seater MPV. Its pricing typically starts from around 5 lakhs and goes up to 10 lakhs. For instance, the RXT variant has an ex-showroom price of approximately 6 lakhs and an on-road price of about 7 lakhs. Given its impressive price, array of features, and color options, the Triber offers great value in its segment.
