Tata Punch Price and Variants

The Tata Punch starts from ₹599,000, with the top model reaching up to ₹10 Lakh on-road in Lucknow. It currently offers only a petrol engine option, available with both manual and automatic transmissions. The Punch comes in four main variants: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. The Creative top model includes iRA connectivity and additional features, along with a dual-tone color option.

Striking Exterior Design

The Tata Punch features a broad and muscular hood. It comes with a smart key for locking, unlocking, opening the boot, and controlling headlights. The front boasts a prominent Tata logo in the center, set against a glossy black finish and a Tri-arrow design grille, behind which the horn is placed. The DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) are integrated with projector headlamps for the low beam, while high beam uses halogens. Halogen fog lamps are also included. These projector headlamps and DRLs are part of the Dazzle pack. The A-pillar is blacked out, and the lower grille also features a Tri-arrow design. The Punch offers excellent ground clearance.

From the side, the Accomplished Dazzle variant gives a top-model impression with its alloy wheels, projectors, and DRLs. It features black body cladding that runs continuously. The ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) are body-colored and include integrated indicators that blink upon locking or unlocking. The door handles are also body-colored. It has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The tire profile is 195/60 R16 for the alloy wheels. A notable feature is that all doors open wide at a 90-degree angle.

The rear profile includes a high-mounted stop lamp. While a rear defogger is not present in this variant, it is available in the top model. The rear features a Tata logo, a reverse parking camera, and Punch badging. The taillights are LED with a Tri-arrow design. Reflectors and two ultrasonic parking sensors are integrated into the black bumper. The fuel tank capacity is 37 liters.

Comfortable and Feature-Packed Interior

The interior of the Tata Punch boasts a dual-tone dashboard. The Accomplished variant offers a 7-inch infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, cruise control, and a smart key with an engine start/stop button. The steering wheel can be adjusted for tilt.

The instrument cluster is semi-digital. The speedometer goes up to 220, and the cluster displays information such as fuel gauge, odometer, range, mileage, outside temperature, and average fuel consumption. The AC vents have an attractive golden finish. Below the AC controls, there’s a 12V charging socket, a USB port, and storage space. It comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox, a handbrake, and two glass holders. An additional 12V charging point can be installed later. The seats are made of fabric.

The glovebox includes a light and a tablet holder for documents. The sun visor on the passenger side has a vanity mirror, while the driver’s side has a ticket holder. Rear doors also open wide at 90 degrees and have power window controls. Legroom and knee room are adequate, fitting well with the 2445 mm wheelbase. Fixed headrests are provided for all seats, but there is no rear armrest. The cabin offers good headroom.

Powerful Engine and Performance

The Tata Punch is powered by a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine. This engine produces 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. It is available with both manual and automatic transmission options, with the automatic option offered in all variants except the base Pure model.

Dimensions and Boot Space

The Tata Punch has a length of 3827 mm, a width of 1742 mm, and a height of 1615 mm. Its wheelbase measures 2445 mm, and it offers a good ground clearance of 187 mm. The car provides a boot space of 366 liters, which includes a removable parcel tray. It comes with a 15-inch spare wheel, which is one size smaller than the main wheels. The rear seats do not offer a 60:40 split option.

Safety First
