Even the base HT model of the Kia Sonet boasts a muscular and appealing exterior. The front features Kia branding and a blacked-out front grille. Standard halogen headlights are present, along with halogen parking lights and indicators placed below. The lower grille is also blacked out, and a skid plate with an engine guard comes standard from the base model, providing good underbody protection. The Sonet offers a ground clearance of 205 mm.

Looking at the side, the compact SUV measures 3995 mm in length, 1790 mm in width, and 1642 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2500 mm, ensuring a stable ride. The base model features 15-inch steel wheels with wheel covers and 195/65 R15 tires. Black cladding on the fender adds to its rugged look. Body-colored electric adjustable outer mirrors and door handles are also included. The B-pillars have a matt black finish.

At the rear, the Sonet includes Kia and Sonet badging. The bumper has a dual-tone finish with reflectors and reverse parking sensors. While higher variants get fully connected tail lights, the base model lights up partially, mainly for parking. It comes with a high mount stop lamp and a plain roof.

Comfortable and Functional Interior

Step inside the Kia Sonet HT, and you’ll find an all-black dashboard. While the base model does not include an audio system or touchscreen, the overall design is neat and pleasing. The front doors have power window controls, while the rear windows are manually operated. Rear AC vents with silver surrounds are a welcome feature, along with two Type-C USB ports and a 12V charging outlet, making it convenient for passengers to charge their devices.

The spacious interior provides good legroom and knee room, thanks to its 2500 mm wheelbase. The seats are upholstered in fabric, offering a comfortable seating experience for two adults in the rear, with room for a third person to adjust. The rear seats have fixed headrests and three-point seatbelts, and they can be folded 100% to expand cargo space.

For the driver, the steering wheel features the Kia logo, silver finish accents, and controls for the multi-information display (MID). It is tilt-adjustable, allowing drivers to find a comfortable position. The digital instrument cluster displays important information like speed, temperature, and fuel levels. The MID also shows drive information, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), door status, service intervals, and more.

The dashboard includes manual controls for the AC fan speed, flow, and temperature, with silver-finished AC vents that enhance the cabin’s appeal. Below the AC controls, there’s a storage space.
