New Renault Triber Night & Day Edition 2024: Price, Features, and Review

Renault Triber Night Day Edition: A Detailed Look at the Affordable 7-Seater MPV

The Renault Triber stands out as one of the most affordable 7-seater MPVs in its segment. We are looking at the latest Night Day Edition, specifically the RxL variant, which offers additional features not found in the regular RxL model. This car starts at an attractive price of ₹6,00,000 (ex-showroom), with the top model reaching around ₹10,00,000. Let’s explore its specifications and what makes this edition special.

Striking Exterior Design and Night Day Edition Highlights

The Night Day Edition boasts several distinctive exterior elements, primarily featuring a gloss black finish.

  • Front Profile: The front showcases a large Renault logo centrally placed on a black front grille. The lower grille is also blacked out, contributing to its bold look. It comes with projector headlights right from the basic model, along with indicators and parking lights. There are no DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) in this variant, but housing for LEDs is provided for higher models. The car offers a ground clearance of approximately 182mm.
  • Side Profile: This edition features a gloss black roof and a gloss black A-pillar. The wheel covers also come in a gloss black finish, giving the car a stylish side profile. It includes a power antenna on top. For braking, the front wheels have disc brakes, while the rear wheels use drum brakes. The tire profile is 165/80 on 14-inch steel rims. Fender-mounted indicators are present, and the entire side features matt black cladding for a rugged look. The door handles and ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) are body-colored. The fuel filler cap is located on the rear side, and the car has a 40-liter fuel tank capacity.
  • Rear Profile: At the rear, you’ll find the Renault logo in the center, with the Triber badging also in a gloss black finish. The taillights are regular halogen bulbs, incorporating both indicators and reverse lights. This variant does not come with a rear wiper or defogger. A high-mount stop lamp is present, and the roof extends with its gloss black finish to the rear. The bumper is completely blacked out and includes three reverse parking sensors. The spare wheel is conveniently placed underneath the car.

Versatile Boot Space

The Renault Triber is a 7-seater car with flexible boot space options. When all three rows are in use, the boot space is relatively compact, offering about 80-100 liters (approximately 80 liters), suitable for small items. However, Renault provides a great option: the third-row seats can be completely removed, transforming the car into a 5-seater with ample boot space. Alternatively, these seats can be folded to provide roughly 400 liters of boot space. Tools are also neatly stored in the boot.

Comfortable and Feature-Rich Interior

The interior of the Triber Night Day Edition is designed for comfort and practicality.

  • Rear and Middle Row Seating: The door trims feature a dual-tone design, and this edition includes power window controls for the rear passengers. Speakers and bottle holders are integrated into the doors. A unique feature for the Triber is the AC vents located in the B-pillars, rather than centrally, providing better cooling for the rear passengers, even in the third row. The middle row offers decent legroom and knee room and can comfortably seat two adults, with space for a third person as there is no significant floor hump. These seats can also be slid forward or backward. Accessing the third row is easy with a double-fold mechanism for the middle seat. While the third row is suitable for children, adults might find legroom limited. It includes adjustable headrests and 50-50 split-foldable seats, along with seatbelt points and small storage spaces.
  • Driver’s Cockpit and Technology: The driver’s side also features dual-tone door trims with front power window controls. The ORVMs are manually adjustable and foldable. The car comes with a remote central locking key. The dashboard is dual-tone, and the seats are fabric with a recline option, though height adjustment is not available in this variant. The instrument cluster is fully digital, displaying RPM, digital speed, average mileage, range, and fuel and temperature gauges. Information like fuel usage and average can be accessed via a toggle switch, and a low tire pressure warning light is present. The steering wheel features the Renault logo and is tilt-adjustable, but lacks steering-mounted controls.
  • Center Console and Features: The center console houses black AC vents and an 8 to 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is a key part of this edition and includes a reverse parking camera. Manual AC controls are present, along with a hazard light switch, lock/unlock buttons, and traction control buttons. There’s space for a phone, a 12V charging outlet, and additional storage. The car comes with a 5-speed manual transmission, with an AMT (Automated Manual Transmission) option also available. It has a handbrake and two cupholders. An armrest is not available in this variant. For safety, it is equipped with dual front airbags. The glove box offers ample space for documents and other items. The interior also includes a normal IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror), a white LED roof light, and a microphone. The driver’s side sun visor has a ticket holder, while the passenger side is plain.

Engine and Performance

The Renault Triber Night Day Edition comes with a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine. This engine delivers 71 BHP of power and approximately 96 Nm of torque. It offers a mileage of about 17-18 kmpl, making it an efficient choice for daily commutes and family trips.

Comprehensive Safety Features

The car is equipped with a range of safety features to ensure a secure ride:

  • ABS with EBD (Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution)
  • Dual Airbags
  • Reverse Parking Sensors
  • Reverse Parking Camera
  • Speed Alert System
  • Seat Belt Warning
  • Engine Immobilizer
  • Crash Sensor
  • Traction Control
  • TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) warning
  • ESP (Electronic Stability Program)

Pricing and Warranty

The Renault Triber Night Day Edition, as reviewed, is priced at ₹7,00,000 (ex-showroom), which translates to approximately ₹8,00,000 on-road in Lucknow. The car comes with a standard warranty of 2 years or 50,000 kilometers, which can be extended by paying additional charges.

This edition of the Renault Triber offers a compelling package, combining the practicality of a 7-seater MPV with added style and features at an attractive price point.
