Exterior Design and Features

The front of the Tata Safari looks strong and powerful. It features smart key entry with buttons for lock, unlock, and boot release. The daytime running lights (DRLs) are connected, stretching across the entire front. It has the new Tata logo and a 360-degree camera, with its placement on the all-black grill. The indicators are dual-functional. You will find automatic LED projector headlamps and cornering fog lamps. The lower grill is also all black, with a muscular skid plate and proper engine guard. Front parking sensors are also included.

The Safari offers a good ground clearance of 205 mm. On the side, it has rain-sensing wipers, roof rails, and a panoramic sunroof. It comes with 19-inch alloy wheels and 245/55 section tyres. All four wheels have disc brakes. The black cladding around the wheel arches and doors adds to its rugged look. The side mirrors (ORVMs) are power-adjustable and auto-foldable, with integrated indicators and 360-degree camera placement.

Interior Comfort and Technology

The interior features an all-black dashboard. The automatic transmission gear lever is premium. A wireless charging pad is available, along with a large 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The car has six airbags. A panoramic sunroof enhances the cabin feel, extending the view to the rear. The dashboard features gloss black finishes.

The steering wheel is flat-bottomed and adjustable for tilt and telescoping. It includes controls for cruise control, media, telephone, and voice commands. Paddle shifters are present for the automatic transmission. Controls for automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers are on the stalks.

The infotainment system also includes an air purifier with air quality index display, climate control, and ambient lighting with changeable colors. A dedicated button activates the 360-degree camera view. Below the screen is a full-touch panel for automatic climate control, allowing control over fan speed and temperature. Switches for fog lamps, hazard lights, boot unlock, and central locking are present.

The car offers multiple drive modes, including Sport and Eco. It features an electronic parking brake with auto-hold. There are two glass holders and a cooled armrest storage area with 12V, Type A, and Type C charging outlets. The glove box is also cooled, with a light and tablet holder. Roof lights are white LED. A vanity mirror with lights is included on the passenger sun visor.

The seats are black leather, offering good legroom and thigh support. Rear passengers have USB Type A and Type C charging ports. Rear AC vents are located on the pillars for optimal cooling. All headrests are adjustable. Sun blinds are fitted on the rear doors for added privacy and comfort.

Space and Practicality

With the third row in use, the boot space is approximately 100 liters. When the third-row seats are folded, the boot space increases significantly to over 400 liters, providing ample room for luggage. A boot light is also provided. Tools like the jack and spanner are neatly assembled in the boot.

The third row offers better legroom and headroom compared to some competitors. It includes bottle holders, USB Type A and Type C charging ports, and rear AC vents. The seats are 50:50 split-foldable, and the headrests are adjustable. Airbag branding is visible in the third row.

Performance and Engine Specifications

The Tata Safari is powered by a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder Kryotec turbocharged diesel engine. This engine produces 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque. It offers an approximate mileage of 15-16 kmpl.

Safety Features

Safety features include ABS with EBD, six airbags, reverse parking sensors, a reverse parking camera, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Traction Control, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), and seatbelt warnings. It also comes with an engine immobilizer, automatic headlamps, and disc brakes on all four wheels.
