Discover the Feature-Packed New Car: Petrol & CNG Options

Welcome to the unveiling of a new and exciting car. This vehicle comes with both petrol and CNG engine options, offering flexibility for drivers. You can choose between manual and automatic transmissions, though the CNG variant is available only with a manual gearbox. Petrol variants, however, do offer an automatic transmission option.

Striking Front Design

The front of this new car features unique H-shaped Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) that also house the indicators. It includes a setup of automatic projector headlights with a distinct yellow hue. For practical needs, a towing hook is integrated into the bumper. The lower grille is finished in black, and a muscular, grey-finished skid plate adds to its rugged look. Underneath, you’ll find a robust front engine and suspension system. This car offers a good ground clearance of 185 mm, perfect for varied roads. It also features a dual wiper and washer system for clear visibility. For those who love open-air driving, a sunroof is available, along with roof rails for extra utility. A small sticker on the side indicates it’s a CNG variant.

Sleek Side Profile and Features

Looking at the side, this SX variant is packed with essential features. It includes a touchscreen infotainment system, a reverse parking camera, and remote central locking for convenience. Safety is a priority with six airbags and traction control. The car rides on stylish 15-inch steel wheels that give the impression of alloy wheels. The design boasts a matt black finish with glossy black roof rails and a shark fin antenna. The last pillar also gets a glossy black finish, while the B and C pillars feature a matt black look. All four door handles match the body color, and cladding runs along the running board, adding to its rugged appeal. This car comes with a warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh kilometers, which can be extended.

Functional Rear Design

The rear of the car maintains a functional yet appealing design. The SX variant is highlighted with its badging near the nameplate. The bumper is equipped with reflectors on both sides and two reverse parking sensors for easy maneuvering. Below, you can see the well-arranged rear suspension setup and the exhaust pipe.

Boot Space and Fueling Options

The car offers a generous 391 liters of boot space in its petrol variant. However, in the CNG variant, the space is significantly reduced due to the CNG tank. While it might not fit a large trolley bag, there’s still room for smaller luggage. A parcel tray is provided, which can be removed if needed. The spare wheel is a standard steel type, and the car’s toolkit, including the jack, is conveniently stored here. The seats are 100% foldable, providing flexibility for cargo, but this variant does not offer a 60:40 split option.

For fueling, the car has a 37-liter petrol tank capacity. The CNG tank can hold about 8 to 9 kg of CNG, depending on the pump pressure. It features disc brakes at the front for effective stopping and normal drum brakes at the rear.

Interior Comfort and Technology

Step inside to a black-themed interior. The door trims are all black, featuring door openers, power window controls, speakers, and bottle holders. The dashboard is entirely black. The SX variant comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with USB and AUX connectivity. A reverse parking camera with good quality output and sensor information is also part of the package.

The car features a fully automatic climate control system and a hazard light switch. You’ll find phone storage space, Type-A and Type-C USB ports, and a 12V charging outlet. For convenience, there are two glass holders and a handbrake. Six airbags are strategically placed throughout the cabin for enhanced safety. The glove box is standard and offers space for your belongings. A manually adjustable IRVM, a ticket holder in the driver’s sun visor, and a vanity mirror in the passenger’s sun visor complete the setup. The roof light is a regular halogen bulb. The sunroof, available from the SX variant, is a highlight, offering a good size for an open-air experience.

Driver-Focused Cockpit

The driver’s side features remote central locking key with lock/unlock buttons and a physical key for manual access. The all-black door trim has controls for all four power windows, central locking, and electric ORVM adjustment, including power fold and unfold.

Inside, the seats are made of fabric with a slight leather texture on the sides, offering height adjustment and recline options. The car is equipped with a manual transmission, ABC pedals, and a dead pedal. Key controls like traction control, CNG to petrol converter switch, and headlamp leveler are easily accessible.

The cockpit boasts a fully digital instrument cluster displaying speed, RPM, fuel levels for both CNG and petrol, and a multi-information display (MID). The MID shows outside temperature, audio information, drive details, and features like a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), trip average mileage, and range. The tilt-adjustable steering wheel comes with controls for the MID, telephonic functions, and infotainment. Manual headlight and wiper controls are also present.

Engine Performance and Mileage

This car offers a 1.2-liter, four-cylinder Kappa petrol engine. In Petrol mode, it produces 82 BHP of power and 113 Nm of torque, delivering an approximate mileage of 18-19 kmpl. When switched to CNG mode, the power output is 68 BHP, and the torque is 95 Nm, offering an impressive mileage of around 28 kmpl. This makes it a very cost-effective option for daily commutes.

Pricing and Safety

For the SX CNG variant, the ex-showroom price is ₹9,10,000, with an on-road price in Lucknow of ₹10,10,000. If you opt for the petrol SX variant, the on-road price is approximately ₹9,50,000.

Safety is a core aspect of this vehicle, featuring:

  • ABS with EBD
  • Six airbags
  • Reverse parking sensors
  • Reverse parking camera
  • Traction control
  • Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
  • Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
  • Seat belt reminder
  • Immobilizer
  • Crash sensors

These features ensure a secure and confident driving experience.

Competitive Edge

This car directly competes with models like the Tata Punch. While both offer similar price ranges and many features, this new vehicle stands out with a couple of additional features and a more refined four-cylinder engine, compared to the Punch’s three-cylinder engine. However, the Tata Punch is noted for its 5-star safety rating, robust build quality, and muscular appearance.
