The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is a big, muscular 7-seater SUV. We will look at the S11, which is the top model. This article covers its price, features, and other important details.

Price and Variants

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic starts from 13 lakh (ex-showroom). The S11 top model costs around 16.81 lakh (ex-showroom). On-road, the S11 can be about 19.47 lakh.

The Scorpio Classic comes in two main variants: the base S and the top S11.

Bold Exterior Design

Front Profile

From the front, the car looks very broad and muscular. It features the new Mahindra logo. The front grille has chrome details. It has halogen headlights with DRLs. Below, you will find LED fog lamps. The ground clearance is 183 mm. The bonnet is broad and muscular. It also has dual wipers.

Side Profile and Dimensions

The Scorpio Classic has a length of 4456 mm, a width of 1820 mm, and a height of 1995 mm. The wheelbase is 2680 mm.

The S11 features 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The tire profile is 235/65 R17. It has disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. You will see the new Mahindra logo on the wheels. The ORVMs (side mirrors) are body-colored, electrically adjustable, and manually foldable, with a matte black finish on top. You can also spot the 2.2L mHawk badging on the side.

Rear Design

The rear of the Scorpio Classic looks large. It has the new Mahindra logo. There is no reverse parking camera as a standard feature, but it can be added as an accessory. The car comes with a rear wiper, defogger, high mount stop lamp, and a washer. It also has a large integrated spoiler and LED taillights. The Scorpio branding is present, along with Scorpio Classic and S11 badges. There is also a micro-hybrid badge. The rear bumper has two reverse parking sensors and reflectors. Powerful Diesel Engine

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic is powered by a 2.2-liter, 4-cylinder mHawk diesel engine. This engine produces 130 BHP of power and 300 Nm of torque. It offers a mileage of about 16 kmpl. The car comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. It has a fuel tank capacity of 60 liters.

Comfortable and Functional Interior

Dashboard and Driver’s Area

The interior features a dual-tone dashboard. The driver gets an analog instrument cluster with an RPM meter and a speedometer that goes up to 180 kmph. A small MID (Multi-Information Display) shows trip details, average mileage, and other information. The steering wheel has the new Mahindra logo and controls for infotainment and phone calls. It has a glossy black finish and is tilt-adjustable. Controls for headlights and wipers are also on the steering column.

Infotainment and Controls

The center console features a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It supports Bluetooth, USB, and AUX connectivity. Please note that it does not include features like GPS, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), reverse parking camera, or Android Auto.

Below the infotainment system, there is a fully automatic climate control system. Other controls include a hazard light switch and an idle start/stop button. The center console has a marble wooden-type finish and a 12V charging outlet. There are also glass holders and a glovebox.

Seating Comfort

The car offers comfortable fabric seats. The driver’s seat has height adjustment and recline options. The second row features captain seats, which offer good comfort for two adults. These seats have adjustable headrests and an armrest. The door panels have power window controls, a door opener, and bottle holders.

The third row can be accessed from the second row. While it has seatbelts and adjustable headrests, it is more suitable for children, as adults might find legroom a bit tight. There are no glass holders in the third row.

Safety Features

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic comes with several safety features, including ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), dual airbags, reverse parking sensors, a speed alert system, and a seatbelt warning.

Color Options

Besides the red color shown, the Scorpio Classic is also available in white, black, silver, and grey.

The Driving Experience

The Mahindra Scorpio Classic offers a strong road presence and a powerful driving experience. It is fun to drive and provides a “dabang” (bold) feel. The car comes with a 3-year or 1 lakh km warranty. It has a turning radius of 5.4 meters.
