Pricing and Accessibility
The Nexon base model starts at an ex-showroom price of 8 lakh. The updated Pure Plus variant is available at an ex-showroom price of 9.70 lakh. Its on-road price in Lucknow is approximately 9.97 lakh. For those seeking a sunroof, the Pure Plus S variant is priced at 11.00 lakh ex-showroom, with an on-road price of around 11.31 lakh in Lucknow. The difference between the sunroof and non-sunroof variant is approximately 35,000.
Exterior Design and Practicality
From the front, the Nexon Pure Plus features a Tata logo with a gloss black finish, a matching front grille, and a black lower grille. It includes dual-functional LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) and indicators, along with a full setup of manual LED headlamps. Fog lamps are not included in this variant. The car offers a substantial ground clearance of 208 mm.
Looking at the side profile, the Pure Plus variant comes with auto-foldable outside rearview mirrors (ORVMs) that also integrate indicators. These mirrors fold and unfold automatically when the car is locked or unlocked. It rides on 16-inch steel wheels equipped with wheel covers and 195/60 R16 radial tires. Black cladding runs along the side, and the door handles are now body-colored. The car measures 3995 mm in length, 1804 mm in width, and 1620 mm in height. The rear doors also feature black cladding. The rear design showcases connected backlights, with only a specific LED part illuminating. It includes indicators, the Tata logo, and Nexon branding. This variant does not have a rear wiper or defogger. A high mount stop lamp is provided, along with an antenna and roof rails. The rear bumper is fitted with two ultrasonic parking sensors, a white LED license plate light, reflectors, and a reverse light. The car also features a rear suspension setup and an exhaust pipe.
Advanced Interior and Comfort
Stepping inside the Nexon Pure Plus, you’ll find a large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is a significant upgrade. This system is Harman-powered and now includes a reverse parking camera. The dashboard features AC vents, and a center armrest is newly added for enhanced comfort.
The steering wheel is flat-bottomed and includes an illuminated Tata logo, along with controls for telephony and infotainment. The steering is tilt-adjustable. The fully digital instrument cluster displays RPM, digital speed, fuel gauge, temperature bars, trip information, average mileage, range, and audio details.
The center console houses manual AC controls, a hazard light switch, and a boot unlock button. It also provides a 12V charging outlet and a Type-A USB port. The car comes with a six-speed manual transmission, with an automatic option also available. Drivers can select from three drive modes: City, Eco, and Sport. A manual handbrake is present, and the armrest is slidable with integrated storage space.
The seats are upholstered in fabric and offer height adjustment for the driver. The rear seats feature two adjustable headrests and three-point seatbelts. ISOFIX child seat mounts are also provided. A 16-inch steel spare wheel with the same tire profile, along with a jack and tool kit, is located under the boot floor. The car has a 44-liter fuel tank capacity for both petrol and diesel variants.
Some features have been streamlined in this update. The Pure Plus variant does not include a parcel tray, which can be fitted later if desired. Additionally, it now comes with manual AC control knobs, replacing the previously touch-based panel.

The Nexon offers a range of engine options, including petrol, diesel, CNG, and electric.
The petrol variant is powered by a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder Revotron turbo-petrol engine. This engine produces 118 BHP of power and 170 Nm of torque, delivering a claimed mileage of 18-19 kmpl.
For those preferring diesel, there is a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. It generates 113-114 BHP of power and 260 Nm of torque, offering a mileage of 20+ kmpl.
