The Tata Harrier stands out as a powerful and muscular SUV. We are excited to show you the Adventure X+ Dark Edition, which has seen some updates, including both new features and some cost-cutting compared to earlier models.
Price and Savings
Good news for buyers! After the new GST changes, you can save a significant amount on this model. Previously, the ex-showroom price was around ₹19,89,000. Now, it starts at approximately ₹18,81,590 ex-showroom. This means an ex-showroom price cut of about ₹1,07,000. On the road, you can expect to save roughly ₹1.25 lakh. The on-road price is now around ₹20,08,476. Finance options are available, with different EMI plans depending on your down payment and loan period.
Striking Exterior Design
The Dark Edition looks fantastic with its all-black styling.
- Front: The front features a fully black grille with a prominent logo. Daytime running lights (DRLs) are dual-functional and include the indicator placement. The LED automatic headlamps offer excellent light throw, but there are no fog lamps in this variant. Lower grilles are also black. This model includes ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) with a radar placed at the front bumper. The ground clearance is approximately 205 mm.
- Side: The side profile in black looks very striking and gives a solid road presence. It includes rain-sensing automatic wipers. The large panoramic sunroof adds to the premium feel. Outer rearview mirrors (ORVMs) are electric, foldable, and feature turn indicators and a 360-degree camera. The Dark Edition badging and Harrier badge are visible on the side.
- Wheels: It comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, which are a change from the previous 19-inch wheels on this variant. It has disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels, fitted with Bridgestone tires (profile 235/60 R18).
- Rear: The rear design is bold, although it does not feature connected tail lights like some other models. The Tata logo is in the center, above the reverse parking camera. A large “Harrier” badge is placed below. The tail lights illuminate only a part of the cluster, which also houses the indicators. Other features include a rear wiper, defogger, high-mount stop lamp, and a shark-fin antenna. The black bumper has two ultrasonic parking sensors and horizontal reflector reverse lights.
Thoughtful Interior and Comfort
Step inside to experience a spacious and comfortable cabin.
- Dashboard and Steering: The dashboard is all black in the Dark Edition. It features a new, flat-bottom steering wheel with an illuminated logo. It has controls for cruise control, ADAS, telephone, and infotainment. The steering wheel is adjustable for both tilt and telescopic positions. The fully digital instrument cluster displays a lot of information, including speed, RPM, fuel, temperature, drive modes, and notifications.
- Infotainment and Controls: A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is at the center. It supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. You can also control the automatic climate control from the screen. A 360-degree camera provides excellent visibility. Below the screen are touch-responsive buttons for climate control, 360 camera shortcut, lock/unlock, and hazard lights.
- Connectivity and Drive Modes: There are USB Type-C (45W) and Type-A charging ports. The vehicle offers three drive modes, along with Sport and Eco modes. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission, with an automatic option also available. An electronic parking brake with auto-hold function is also present.
- Seating and Space: The seats are covered in high-quality leatherette. The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable (6-way). The rear seats offer good legroom, knee room, and thigh support, ensuring a comfortable ride for all passengers. Headroom is also generous. The rear seats are 60-40 split-folding and include ISOFIX child seat mounts. Rear AC vents are conveniently located in the pillars.
- Panoramic Sunroof: The large panoramic sunroof opens and closes with one touch and can also be operated via voice commands.
- Boot Space: The boot offers a generous 445 liters of space, making it perfect for carrying luggage. A parcel tray is also provided.
Engine Performance
The Tata Harrier Adventure X+ Dark Edition is powered by a robust 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder Kryotec turbocharged diesel engine. This engine delivers 170 PS of power and a strong 350 Nm of torque. It offers a mileage of approximately 15-16 kmpl, depending on driving style. This model only comes with a diesel engine option; there is no petrol or 4×4 option. The fuel tank capacity is 50 liters for diesel, and AdBlue is added separately.
Safety Features
Safety is a top priority with the Harrier, featuring a 5-star safety rating. It includes a comprehensive suite of safety features:

- Request sensors for door unlocking are no longer available. You need to use the smart key for locking and unlocking.
Despite these changes, the Tata Harrier Adventure X+ Dark Edition continues to offer excellent road presence, a solid build quality, and a comfortable driving experience in its segment.
