Tata Nexon Creative Plus: A Feature-Packed SUV with 5-Star Safety

Muscular Design and Top Safety
The Nexon has muscular and futuristic looks. It comes with a strong 5-star safety rating. The car shown has a unique Creative Ocean color. The roof is white, making it a dual-tone variant.
Variants and Price Range
The Nexon comes in several variants: Pure, Smart, Creative, and Fearless. There are also ‘Plus’ and ‘S’ variants. Prices start from ₹8,10,000 (ex-showroom) for the base model. The top model can go up to ₹16-17 lakhs (on-road Lucknow).
Exterior Highlights
Front Profile
The smart key allows you to lock and unlock the car and the boot. The front has a strong, changed grille with a glossy black finish and the Tata logo. It features integrated, dual-functional DRLs and automatic LED headlights. There are no fog lamps, but front parking sensors are included in the Creative Plus variant. A 360-degree camera is also present. The lower grille is blacked out with a white skid plate. Ground clearance is 208 mm. It has dual wipers and a washer.
Side View
The side profile has no major changes. It features new 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. There are disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The tire size is 215/60 R16. Black cladding runs along the side. The ORVMs are auto-foldable with integrated indicators and a 360-degree camera. The B-pillars are matte black. The length of the car has increased by 2 mm, now measuring 3995 mm.
Rear Design
The fuel tank capacity is 44 liters for petrol. Diesel variants require AdBlue. The rear features connected LED taillights that look impressive. The Tata logo is in the center, with the reverse parking camera below it. This variant does not have a rear defogger, but it has a rear wiper hidden under the integrated sky spoiler. Other features include a shark fin antenna and roof rails. There is large Nexon badging, horizontal reflectors, and two ultrasonic parking sensors. The bumper is dual-tone, and the rear skid plate is white, matching the roof color.
Generous Boot Space and Diverse Fuel Options
The Nexon offers a generous 382 liters of boot space, which is 32 liters more than before. It includes a parcel tray, hooks, and a boot light. The spare wheel is 16-inch, the same size as the main wheels, and comes with tools. Soon, an iCNG option will be available. The Nexon will offer petrol, diesel, EV, and CNG options.
Comfort and Advanced Interior
Rear Cabin
The rear doors have a three-tone trim with chrome door openers, power window controls, speakers, and bottle holders. The seats are fabric. There are rear AC vents. Legroom is good, thanks to a 2498 mm wheelbase. Pillars have airbag branding, with six airbags standard from the base model. It has two adjustable headrests and three seatbelt points for rear passengers. This variant does not have a rear armrest or a sunroof (a sunroof is available in the Creative Plus S variant).
Driver’s Cockpit and Dashboard
The driver’s door handle has a sensor for locking/unlocking. The door trim features all four power window controls, ORVM adjustments, speakers, bottle holder, and an umbrella holder. Seats are fabric (leather in top models) with height adjustment and recline. It has a push-button start/stop and a fully digital instrument cluster with blue lighting. The 360-degree camera activates upon ignition, offering excellent clarity in 3D and 2D views.
Steering Wheel and Infotainment
The new two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel has an illuminated logo. It features controls for the multi-information display (MID) and cruise control on the right, and telephony, infotainment, and voice command controls on the left. The steering is tilt-adjustable. Automatic headlamps and rain-sensing wipers are included. The MID shows trip details, average speed, distance, and fuel information. A large 10-inch touchscreen supports Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, USB, and AUX connectivity. There are four speakers and tweeters, providing good sound quality. The automatic climate control can be operated via the touchscreen. Other controls include hazard light, boot unlock, lock/unlock, and a 360-view button.
Convenience Features
Below the climate control are a 12V charging outlet and Type-A and Type-C USB ports. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission, with a DCT automatic option also available. There are three drive modes: City, Eco, and Sport. The interior also has two cup holders and a smart key. The deep glovebox is cooled and includes cup holders and document storage. An auto-dimming IRVM is present, along with white roof lights and a microphone. The co-passenger airbag on/off status is also displayed. Grab handles and sun visors are provided.
Engine Options and Warranty
The Nexon offers a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine, producing 118 bhp power and 170 Nm torque, with a mileage of 19-20 kmpl. A 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine is also available, offering 113 bhp power and 260 Nm torque, with a mileage of 22-23 kmpl. The car comes with a 3-year or 1 lakh km warranty. Color options include Creative Ocean, White, Red, Grey, Daytona Grey, and Pure Grey, with Fearless Purple available in the top model, along with dual-tone options.
Advanced Safety Features
Safety features include ABS with EBD, six airbags, reverse parking sensors, a reverse parking camera, traction control, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System), ESP (Electronic Stability Program), engine immobilizer, and seatbelt warnings.
