Versatile Engine Options
The Nexon stands out in its segment by offering a wide range of engine choices. Customers can select from petrol, CNG, diesel, or electric vehicle (EV) options, catering to diverse driving preferences.
Striking Exterior Design
The Nexon Dark Edition boasts a bold and modern exterior. The front features a Tata logo in a glossy black finish and a sleek front grille. A 360-degree camera system is included, with cameras integrated into the front grille. Two front parking sensors and a black lower grille further enhance its functionality and look.
Dual functional DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) and indicators are positioned on the front, which act as DRLs when hazard lights are off. The car is equipped with LED automatic headlamps and fog lamps, which are visible in the lower vents. Automatic rain-sensing wipers are also a convenience feature. The vehicle offers a ground clearance of approximately 208 mm.
From the side, the Dark Edition features 16-inch black alloy wheels secured by five nuts, each bearing the Tata logo. It comes with disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The tire section is 215/60 R16, fitted with radial tires. Black cladding runs along the side, and “Dark Edition” badging is present. The ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) are auto-foldable, folding when the car is locked and unfolding upon unlock. A 360-degree camera system includes cameras on the side ORVMs and at the rear. The A-pillar is body-colored, while black roof rails and a shark fin antenna complete the roofline, which also houses a panoramic sunroof. The B-pillar is black, and door handles match the body color.
Spacious and Feature-Rich Interior
Inside, the Dark Edition theme continues with an all-black dashboard, accented with subtle grey treatment. The cabin is equipped with a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, and six airbags, including a feature to manually switch the co-driver’s airbag on or off. All seats are upholstered in leather with wide stitching. The fuel tank capacity is 44 liters for petrol variants.
Rear passengers benefit from AC vents, though USB ports or a 12V charging outlet are not available here. The rear seating offers ample legroom, knee room, and thigh support, along with comfortable headroom. A panoramic sunroof enhances the cabin’s open feel. The rear seats feature a 60-40 split configuration, offering versatile cargo space (unlike lower variants that have fully foldable seats). A parcel tray, boot light, and a 3 kg capacity hook are also provided in the boot. The spare tire is 16 inches and includes a toolkit. CNG variants feature a twin-cylinder setup, affecting boot space.
For the driver, a smart key provides lock, unlock, and follow-me headlamp functions. Request sensors allow keyless entry and exit, and the ORVMs auto-fold. The doors are entirely black, housing power window controls, door openers, glossy black handles, speakers, bottle holders, and an umbrella holder. The leather seats are manually adjustable for height and recline. Standard ABC pedals are present, along with levers for opening the bonnet and fuel cap.
The driver’s cockpit includes a fully digital instrument cluster with an illuminated Tata logo on the steering wheel. Cruise control and MID (Multi-Information Display) controls are on the steering, alongside telephonic and infotainment controls. The 360-degree camera offers excellent clarity and a 3D view. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is tilt-adjustable. Automatic headlamps and automatic wipers add to driving convenience. The cluster displays RPM, digital speed, fuel information, and temperature bars, with vehicle, drive assist, and trip information accessible via a dedicated button.
The center console features a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, as well as USB and Aux inputs. Climate control functions, including fan speed and temperature, can be operated via the touchscreen. The automatic climate control panel has touch-responsive buttons for various functions like camera, lock/unlock, boot unlock, hazard lights, and fog lamps. A 12V charging outlet, Type-A and a 45W Type-C USB port are available. The car comes with a 6-speed manual transmission, with an automatic option also available. Three drive modes—City, Eco, and Sport—are provided. A handbrake and a wireless charging pad are also included. The armrest has integrated storage space. A deep, cooled glove box is available for storage, including a designated spot for glasses and documents. The IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror) is manually adjustable. White LED roof lights, co-driver airbag status display, and panoramic sunroof controls are located on the roof. Both the co-driver’s side and driver’s side feature a vanity mirror and a ticket holder, respectively.
