The Tata Nexon is a leading compact SUV, known for its strong design and high safety rating. We are looking at the Pure Plus variant, a truly value-for-money option packed with features. This muscular SUV offers a great driving experience with many benefits, including a significant price reduction.

Attractive New Pricing and Savings

There’s good news for car buyers! The Tata Nexon Pure Plus now comes with a big benefit, as its price has been reduced. You can save around ₹1 lakh compared to earlier prices. For instance, the starting price of the Nexon was ₹8 lakh, but it has now come down to ₹7.31 lakh.

For the Pure Plus Petrol variant, the ex-showroom price was previously around ₹9.07 lakh. Now, it stands at approximately ₹8.26 lakh. This means a direct saving of about ₹82,000 on the ex-showroom price, and an overall on-road saving of about ₹1 lakh.

Stylish Exterior Design

The Tata Nexon Pure Plus, shown in a elegant Pure Grey color, has a striking exterior. The front features a glossy black grille with the Tata logo, complemented by a matte black lower grille. It includes dual functional indicators and daytime running lights (DRLs). The LED headlamps are manually operated in this variant, while automatic ones are available in higher trims. The car offers an impressive ground clearance of 208 mm, making it suitable for various road conditions. It also has dual wipers and washers, along with practical roof rails.

From the side, the Nexon Pure Plus looks dynamic. It comes with 16-inch wheels fitted with wheel covers and good quality tires (195/60R16). For braking, it has front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The side profile also features a black cladding that runs from front to back. The side mirrors are auto-foldable, folding when the car is locked and unfolding when unlocked, and they also have integrated turn indicators. The A-pillars and B-pillars are blacked out, and the door handles match the body color, creating a seamless look.

At the rear, the car boasts a central Tata logo and a reverse parking camera right below it. The Nexon badging is prominent. It features stylish LED backlights, though connected backlights are exclusive to higher variants. This Pure Plus variant does not include a rear defogger or wiper. Other rear features include an integrated spoiler, a shark-fin antenna, bumper reflectors, and horizontal reverse lights. Two ultrasonic parking sensors are also present for easier parking. The boot opens with an internal button, the car key, or a long press on the remote, revealing a generous 382 liters of boot space. The rear seats are 100% foldable, and a smaller 15-inch spare wheel is located under the boot floor, along with the necessary tools.

Comfortable and Feature-Rich Interior

Step inside the Tata Nexon Pure Plus, and you’ll find a well-designed cabin. The doors have a dual-tone finish, with power window controls, a glossy black door handle, a speaker, and a bottle holder. It even has an umbrella holder and a door light for convenience. The seats are upholstered in fabric and offer height adjustment and recline options for the driver.

The cabin is spacious, offering good legroom, knee room, and thigh support for rear passengers, which is impressive for a compact SUV. Headroom is also ample. While there are rear AC vents, this variant does not include a 12V charging outlet or USB port for rear passengers. Two adjustable headrests are provided for the rear seats, along with three-point seatbelts and ISOFIX child seat mounts for child safety.

The dashboard features a fully digital instrument cluster that displays RPM, speed, fuel information, and temperature. The multi-information display (MID) provides details like range, audio information, trip A/B, and mileage. The new flat-bottom steering wheel has an illuminated Tata logo and controls for telephony, infotainment, and the MID. The steering wheel can be adjusted for tilt.

A large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system is a highlight, offering connectivity options like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, USB, and Aux. It also features a good quality reverse parking camera. Below the screen, you’ll find black AC vents and manual AC controls with physical knobs. Other features include a hazard light switch, a boot unlock button, a 12V charging outlet, and a Type-A USB port. The car comes with a six-speed manual transmission and three drive modes: City, Eco, and Sport. A handbrake and a slidable armrest with storage space are also present. The glovebox is deep and includes dedicated slots for glasses and documents. For safety, the car is equipped with six airbags, with the co-driver’s airbag having an option to be turned off with a key.

Power and Efficiency: Engine Options

The Tata Nexon is unique in offering multiple fuel options: petrol, diesel, CNG, and even an EV version.
