Let’s explore a popular hatchback known for its safety. This car is rated as one of the safest hatchbacks in its segment. Today, we will look closely at the second base XT variant. Its price starts from ₹5,60,000 and can go up to ₹8,00,000 on-road in Lucknow.

Car Design and Exterior Features

The car has a stylish look. The front has a chrome strip on the grill that goes to the headlights. The headlights use normal halogen bulbs. This model does not have fog lamps, but higher models get them along with DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) in the XZ+ variant. The lower front part of the car is black.

The car has a ground clearance of 170mm. It comes in colors like Grey, White, Red, Blue, and a Red Flame option. The bonnet houses dual wipers, and a CNG sticker can be seen if it’s a CNG model.

The car’s length is 3765 mm, width is 1677 mm, and height is 1535 mm. The wheelbase is 2400 mm. The side mirrors adjust with electricity and are body-colored. The door handles are also body-colored. The wheels have ‘Hyperstyle’ steel rims, with the Tata logo in the center. The front wheels have disc brakes, and the rear wheels have drum brakes. The tire size is 175/65 R14.

At the back, the car has a Tata logo and ‘Tiago’ written on it. It also shows ‘Intelligent CNG’ if applicable. The tail lights are normal halogen bulbs, which can be turned on using a button on the key. There are two parking sensors in the rear bumper. There is no rear wiper on this variant.

  • Petrol Variant: When running on petrol, it makes 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque. It gives about 20-22 kmpl mileage. The petrol tank holds 35 liters.
  • CNG Variant: When running on CNG, it makes 72 PS of power and 95 Nm of torque. It gives about 26 kmpl mileage. The CNG tank can hold about 8 to 9 kg of gas, depending on the pump pressure.

The car has 242 liters of boot space with petrol. However, in the CNG variant, the CNG tank takes up most of the boot space, making it difficult to carry large luggage. Newer models with twin CNG cylinders are designed to offer more boot space.

Safety First

This car is famous for its strong and safe build quality. It includes important safety features like ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) for better braking control. It comes with parking sensors in the rear to help with parking. It also has a speed alert system to keep you safe.

Price and Different Models
